Life is short and uncertain even free of covid. Time spent with your children is precious. Make the most of it when you can. Take sensible precautions to keep you and others safe, but keep living life. There's not much difference from covid killing you or robbing you of life while you still have a pulse.

Should come to the Philippines. Going outside to see the varying degrees of "I don't give a sh8t'' is quite an eye-opener...

If you are very careful, stay away from people, spray yourself down with alcohol after shops etc, you should minimise the risk. My wife and I scoot out on the Thumper (S10 purchase is on hold atm) for little soirees when the cabin fever becomes too much. We head away from the city and avoid contact and are glad of the vitamin D boost.

Just be very careful. Can't be anymore dangerous than our weekly shop.

I say have a great trip.
I rode Big Bend last February which is their busiest time of year, There was no one around except in the campgrounds and some of the scenic overlooks. That park even at full max capacity is absolutely nothing like Yellowstone or most Nat. parks. Almost all the tourist go to Chisos Basin so you could avoid that area.

Day one: I had a few things to tie up with work and We are on our way. Made it from home to Cortez Colorado. Great day and weather. 484 miles. Stopped in Moab to see a few sites. Not crowded at all and easy to social distance. Car running excellent. She looks like she's having a blast. That alone has gotta make the trip worthwhile.

I've been to Moab a couple times, but I've never seen it with snow. It looks really weird that way.

Looks like fun for you and daughter, but I doubt I would do it today with the virus. Maybe in 10yrs or so though. My wife's brother, daughter, best friends, pretty much all of them ignored advice to not travel during this, and despite doing all the stuff that does no good (masks) ect, pretty much every one of them has got the virus, but that being said, all of them had no big deal from it any worse than a cold, but still best off staying home if possible for the next few years.

My wife and I carry a plant mister of 70% alcohol anytime we are out. I spray her, she sprays me, each time before we get in the car. We also spray each other whilst shopping, which is funny as f::ck tbh.

This is due to all the idiots that remove their masks to speak etc :rolleyes::rolleyes:. I have read that as long as it is 70% the solution does not evaporate too quickly and has sufficient time to kill the virus. Any evidence to the contrary will be gladly received.

I’ve never been to Moab with h snow either. The snow makes the landscape really stand out. I was amazed at the terrain along the highway that usually looks flat. It is anything but flat.

The Desert in Winter is a whole new world. Keep having fun and posting pics. Don't be so shy, we don't mind you in the pic as well as the more photogenic daughter.

Glad you’re on your way, looks like so much fun. I know this will be a time to remember and when memory grows dim with age the photos you take will bring them back like a flood, with the emotions encountered, while sharing adventure. I’m so excited for you, I know what it means to my daughters and even more so for me. Enjoy the adventure. It may been good for you to just brake away from the net and enjoy time with out influence from the opinions of others. Either way I look forward to sharing the adventure with you through the photos you take.

Nice start to the trip so far. Looking forward to the updates. The only time to make memories is now.....time goes by fast no matter what is happening in the world.

I'm not concerned about your car at all, I looked at a Lexus (fancy Toyota) yesterday with 235,000 miles and it ran and drove so nice that I wouldn't have guessed it had half that many miles.
