So as you know I've just bought a 2011 S10 and am working my way through servicing it for peace of mind. It has full service history but the invoices don't show a valve clearance check. After reading the forums I checked the cct and it's the dreaded 23P oem one.
Now having just got it, I haven't noticed any power issues or crazy weird noises, although if it has an unusual sound I wouldn't know what it was like before.
Question to you all... Should I do the valve clearance myself now to be certain they're within tolerance and should I change to an ape mcct now too pre-emptively?
I'd rather not do either right now if the bike is fine, what issues would I have if the valves are out of tolerance or the cct went? Is it worth the cost and agro now or shall I wait for 52000 miles and do it then?
Thanks
