So, I been back playing with printing quality and materials for the handguards extensions designed by @Synk.

I have 2 models, one is the biggest, the other is mid size that has a pre-made small holes for small screws or tiny zip tights.

I been printing both for people here at the forum and friends. And the opinions are mixed. Some people love the big ones, others the mid size. Some says that the big ones hold in place others that they lost them.

SO. if anybody is interested in testing BOTH designs and share pictures an thoughts with me, I will be sending both pairs for 20U$. thats cover the packaging, materials and shipping costs.

If anybody is interested, please PM me. I'm planning to give 5 of this packages (10 pairs) at cost.

THANKS!!! 1663693566907.png

I made it almost a year with these. One day I noticed one was missing. So, my recommendation is to add a screw or a zip tie to whichever you get. They performed great until that fateful day...
thanks for the input, one of the new designs has the holes for zip/screws. PM me, I can send you a replacement pair for shipping costs only

Updated Review:

Large handguards with the locating tab work great. I did the zip tie keeper(need to get some black zips) on the other end. I have yet to put on my bar mitts this year. These deflectors, heated grips, and Olympia Windtex gloves have done the job so far and don't look as dorky as the mitts. In temps above 25f I could ride a couple hours before my fingers get too frosty. Above freezing, my fingers would likely last longer than my azz and knees. Sub 20f my 40 min commute is all I want, 15f was my lowest so far. These are a win unless you are doing long rides in lower temps. For those occasions, I think the bar mitts will still be the ticket. I also noticed that if I'm running my heated jacket liner my fingers stay warmer. Keep the core warm and everything is warmer!

I give the revised edition (with added zip tie) 5/5. Would recommend!

Same happened to me. One blew off at 80MPH, this in spite of having it tie-wrapped. It twisted around in the wind and before I could react the tie-wrap failed too. It’s now somewhere lost on CA395!

I previously had the other side blow off, but the tie-wrap saved that one.

These really need good securing.
