After Breakfast, I went out for an all-day ride.
About 110-miles of it was easy dirt roads. I also wanted to test out the Garmin Inreach to see how the Tracking function works.

I started the Dirt on Jackson Creek Rd, and then turned on to Hidden Valley Rd, which then turned to Bergen Park Rd on my way up the Rampart Range.

Eventually I turned south on Rampart Range Rd.
Every so often you'd catch a glimpse of Pikes Peak looming in the distance.

After a while you end up pretty close to it.
Not much snow left up there. We've had a pretty warm spring.

I continued south on dirt all the way to Garden of the Gods Park.

Lots of curves like this on the descent to Colorado Springs.

I topped off the fuel tank at Rudy's.
I resisted the temptation for some "Moist Brisket" as the line to get in was wrapped around the building.
Then I made my way to Gold Camp Rd, and then Old Stage Rd towards Victor and Cripple Creek.

I eventually made my way over by Buena Vista area before turning back towards home late in the afternoon.

Making my way home on Hwy-285, I got stuck in the typical Sunday "return to Denver" traffic.
It was bumper to bumper all the way from Fairplay to Denver! Really slowed my average way down for the day, and took me an extra hour and a half to get home.
Weather was perfect all day! Was an awesome day of riding!

Gorgeous. Visited Colorado last September. Drove up Pike's Peak, or at least as far as they would allow due to building a new visitor center at the top. Had to take the shuttle to the very top.

Great ride and pictures! I really enjoy when those types of rides get shared here. Thanks. I have got to piddle around in Colorado a couple of times and it is a great place to explore. Beautiful place!

Have you done any rides of similar style (easy fire roads) west if Fort Collins? I’m visiting that area in a couple weeks and could use some suggestions.

Like Paul said.
Red Feather Lakes area is the only area I'm slightly familiar with up there.
A bunch of easy dirt roads around that area.
