If you bought a 2022 Super Tenere was it delivered without the panniers? Here in Canada that is the case and l wonder how long it will take to get them. If it happened to you did you hold back money or did Yamaha give you something like an extended warranty or accessory discounts?

Looking forward to hearing from other 2022 owners out there.

Are panniers standard these days? Were they a line item on the invoice (+MSRP) or other documentation? My 2021 USA bike did not come with panniers as a standard item.

My 19 came standard with panniers, why would they not unless they discounted the bike by a fair amount. Yamaha want alot of coin for their OEM panniers.

They're not standard equipment in the US. But we don't get an immobilizer either.

As OE makes sense. I mean the FJR isn't sold anywhere "without" bags. Unless Yamamama knows that people go with aftermarket on the Tenere.

S10 can easily go aftermarket panniers the FJR not so much. I had the Yamaha panniers as an option on mine and was happy with them.

I knew l would eventually get panniers and they did arrive about a month after the bike. I always thought l would just put them on when needed, but l really like the look of them and the utility of carrying stuff [such as my tire repair equipment plus being able to store my jacket and gloves when l park places]. I find the bike really tall and heavy so adding the weight of the panniers makes it even more unwieldy.

Make sure you don't have your preload set too high. It can make a difference.

BUMOT rack and panniers still appear to be available in the USA.

It was here in UK. Sold as a std model with no luggage. Not sure at what point, if ever, it gained panniers, but theyre was usually two or three models listed. The auto obviously as one of those, and later on the ES suspension variant.

Center stands and passenger grab handles are hit and miss here and there about the globe as well.

Yeah, the no center stand thing never made any sense to me. I can understand the no bags, since OE isn't that well thought out/about. But everybody wants/need a center stand. Or at least I would think so.

Givi are popular and they have some excellent panniers for the S10.
