After waiting 4 years after they first announced this bike I finally got mine. Delivery was expected in June but got delayed until August due to this Covid crap.
I was fortunate to be able to test ride one several times in June and came away very impressed. This is a far better street bike than I thought possible. I have yet to take it off road but am looking forward to the opportunity. The 700 engine is a gem. It has a very broad torque curve and enough power to keep a HP junkie like myself happy. I put the tall Rally seat on it and the seat height is 37.5". A bit shorter when I plop my fat arse in the seat. Break in is complete and I am getting ready to do the tubeless conversion.
If anyone is remotely interested in it take one for a ride if you get the chance. It will not disappoint. According to one of Yamaha's district managers they haven't experienced this much interest in a new model since the 1998 R1. The Tenere is a really, really good bike.
