7th annual Cache Rally - To be held this year in Flaming Gorge, Ut.
June 18th (Thurs) - 21st (Sun) 2020
Manila, Utah KOA. (435) 740-8318

Tents- 2 per site allowed ($33 w/tax for 2) Nice grassy sites. . Cabins- Bunkbed and 1 double (No bath) $63, so could sleep 3.
Swimming pool. Big lake.... there are plenty of things and rides to keep busy.
Plenty pavement rides, endless dirt ride miles (be bear aware..).

As is usual for the Cache Rally this is a 'no frills' event, no tee shirts, no give-aways, no dancing girls....
Show up - ride - shoot the bull around the campfire at night - sleep - repeat.

Reservations can be made in January. Also, a couple motels are quite close for the non campers.
This is the first year I'm not the 'organizer', but let me know if you have questions...

Good times!

Why is it named Cache Rally ?
Back in my V-Strom days someone started a "cache" (a small box with a notebook inside to track its travels) that was handed off from rider to rider. I picked up the first one in Georgia and brought it across to Utah. Other riders took it all over the lower states, into Canada, and Alaska, then into Mexico.....it went allllll over......until some knucklehead lost it....
The Cache Rally is an offshoot of that. It started out as the V-Strom Cache Rally, but BMWs, HDs, etc attended so now it's just the Cache Rally. Last year S-10s and stroms were evenly divided..with one Triumph attending.

Don has one more untaken tent spot. If you want it let me know, if you have your own reservation and want to save a few bucks by sharing, I advise you to get on the FB page (post 9) and see if you can find any takers.

So far it looks like at least 4 S-10s will be there, a bunch of Stroms, and who knows what else?

Any updates? I’m still planning on attending.
Still a go as far as I know... Food service is the only snag...bring a back-up sack lunch.. :) I'm hoping good sense prevails and everything opens up before we get there.

Bumping this back up top. I’m still planning on attending, my wife wants to come as well. I just called KOA and with the social distancing they were unsure of how many tent sites or cabins will be available. My wife would prefer a cabin if possible.

Thanks for the bump. Dates could work for me now so I'm a possible. Would most likely just show up with little notice. If no tentsite available to share in the KOA I would just disperse camp.

Don the head honcho, tells me there should be plenty of tent sites available. There is also a nearby hotel, but I don't have contact info for them.
