Add me to list of "If ain't broken, then don't fix it...." Just a couple of things I'd like to see....Maybe add a mode or 3. Such as a "dirt" mode, "Wet pavement" "Street"
As Cycledude said....Regular gas without sacrificing performance. I know the bike appears to run fine with regular. But I don't trust it. With the compression our engines have. But I'm that guy who wants maximum clean burning efficiency from his engines. I know there are situations when there is no choice. (Like a couple of weeks ago 90 Octane was the highest available at a remote gas station.) Any can look up "regular gas in a high compression engine." One might not hear or feel knock or pinging, but that doesn't mean that it's not going on to a certain degree. I'm not saying putting regular gas is catastrophic....just not the maximum clean efficiency.
Maybe a "mode" for regular gas?
My father rides a FJR1300. He had decision between the S10 and the FJR when deciding. The reg. vs. premium gas is what made him decide on the FJR1300. My father never goes off-road and wouldn't use the s10 for off-road.
Something else I'd like to see, but it would probably be too much in the way of engineering.....A better air intake method. Don't like the location of the air box right above the heat of the engine. The front of the bike has to be open and that's why many get the water intrusion in the spark plug recesses. Somehow divert air flow to aid in engine cooling and cooling air to intake...
