Not gonna make it... bummed. Heard about it too late. I have too much on my plate and it has proven hard to find a work switch too.

Have fun on TBDITW without me

Clear off the trailer and pull it out of storage, install the wheel chock, air up trailer tires, gas the truck, air up truck tires, dig ramp out of storage, power up the camper, clean and caulk a bunch of camper joints, raise bike seat, dig bash plate out of storage, take break to bitch about it online. Been at this for hours and still have to install the bash plate, change bike tires, load the camper on the truck, blah, blah, blah...

Having fun is freakin' hard work.

Almost spit my beer out on that one.

Really looking forward to this. I need a break. Guess I should start looking at what I'm doing beginning next Wednesday morning. I've done absolutely nothing to prep yet. No bike prep, GPS, or even knowing where I'm going.

Just kind of winging this one... It's actually refreshing.

Anybody bringing a dirt bike/smaller dual sport to the rally?

And please don't forget to pump a few squirts of grease into those trailer hubs!

Oil and filter changed, FD fluid changed, 2nd time for both so break-in is officially OVER. I'll start getting my kit in bags then on the bike and plan to leave Thursday morning, hopefully arriving around 3 or 4. Dragon Run on Friday morning, anyone??? Hit it early, before the Circus arrives would be a good plan. Photogs usually show up around 9 and the resort has a decent grill if we skip breakfast in Tellico. Gonna be good!!!

Well... as a consolation prize - of sorts - yesterday I pulled Fancy out of the back corner of the moto shed, brushed off the spider webs, and got her to begrudgingly start up. Boy was she pissed - coughing and sputtering to life after months of hibernation. She probably hates that swedish mistress that gets all my attention these days!

Gonna head out with the GF on her DS bike for some backcountry exploration and some good eats at the Mtn Lake Lodge.

I strongly suspect that this ride will be the pivotal event to determine Fancy's fate. I have been flirting with selling her ad she deserves better then dormancy in the moto shed. If that comes to pass, there will be an ad going up at the forums to sell a piece of my soul.

But the woods are a strong call and that damn Husky is stoopidly fun.

LOL.

Good point - if my trailer breaks down, how will you get your bike home? ;)

Knowing you're riding there almost makes me want to leave the camper home and tag along, but jeez that's either a LOT of highway or a LONG ride.

I'm leaving home early Wednesday morning. Taking a long and very twisty ride there. Expect to arrive sometime Thursday.
