For all GA and surrounding states Tenerians. Here's a nice 'purpose to ride' Tour for a worthy charity.

Grand Tour of Georgia:
Organized by Team Strange
In support of Eddie's Road
March - November 2018

Themed Bonii spread across this fine state of Georgia.
Completed at your own pace, own route. Slab it or ADV it!
Involves riding to bonus locations, taking a picture with bike within specific instructions provided in the GTGA Passport.

any idea what the theme is this year? the 2 picture hints on Facebook didn't kelp me any.

Last year I felt like a creepy old man on college campuses. especially after we got a police escort at Paine College after dark in Augusta. ;D

I'm thinking weird and wonderful murals (has to have some history connected with them) and just can't get my head around the Forest connection. GTGA rides are 99% slap so doubt FS roads will feature.

head south first before it gets hot.. that was my mistake last year. I had to wait until it cooled off in the fall to head south, but that cut me short on daylight hours to ride.

Yup. Same. I knocked out the North locations as being closest and then grinding halt! ::)
Marching South first and then pincer movement North and conquer!

It just got interesting I think:

“The 2018 Tour will highlight various scenic roads throughout the state of Georgia. Some of these you probably have stumbled upon on your own—but for the others, I hope that you trust our routing choices. There are few states east of the Mississippi that has the shear variety of riding opportunities—from twisty mountain roads to sweeping farmland overlooks to the salt air of the low lying marshes. Georgia has the spectrum of roads to meet any rider’s interest and technical ability. For each route, there will be a target bonus identified midway along the route. A photograph of this target is what you will use to document your completion of the route.”
