Hi, I've just had my ECU remapped and very happy with the result. However the engine warning light is now on, apparently caused by the rear wheel turning when the front one is static....
I've just done 100 miles and turned it off/on a few time and the light hasn't cleared...

Anyone know if it will or is there something I can do, before going to the dealer....?

Can we just clarify which light showing. I would expect the Dyno run to have triggered the ABS light, but shouldn't have affected the engine light if remapped correctly. The ABS should then have cleared itself once re-started back on the road. (section 3-5 Owner's manual)

There are various threads on here regarding checking for fault codes, which would seem the logical next step. If it is the engine light that remains on I would be talking to the remapping guy first - is there a sensor that has been unplugged somewhere on the system during the process.

Hi, it's definitely the engine warning light. I'll speak to the guys who mapped it for me, thanks for your advice!

No way....if you run the rear wheel with the 1 gear, and center stand.....the check engine ligth on....only with scan service check engine ligth off....in the s10 +2017...you can’t acces to the diag mod with tcs+reset buttons for delete fault codes....only scan service.....the ABS ligths off, when you run, but the check engine NO....

??
Are you saying that "check engine light", can't be turned off by ignition off/on?
And are you also saying that only a dealer can turn it off?

it’s simple. If you can acces to diag mode using tcs+reset buttons...them is all ok....you can delete the most fault codes....but, if you can’t acces to diag mode using dash buttons....them, only scan service delete this faults

In 2017 Yamaha went to the OBD2 code and it is not accessible via the dash. It is accessible via a OBD2 scanner. OBD2 replaced OBD1 in the USA in 1996; it was code specific to autos/trucks. OBD1 was accessible via the dash on some vehicles via a blinking light code but i digress.....
Without getting into what all that means your answer is the proper OBD2 cable and a scanner. Not all scanners are "equal" in their abilities but the Yamaha FJ/FZ forum guys have figured a lot of the basics . Here are the links you need to either build your own cable or just buy one off Ebay . There are even UK links! If anything a small scanner is easier and quicker than using the dash and gives you multiple real time readouts.

There are more threads than these. Search the FJ/FZ forums.

Nikolajsen my bike it totally the same like yours and it just happened now after MOT test... spinning the wheels etc. orange engine light on... anybody can help please? Thanks
If you cannot access Diag mode using the dash buttons, you can only turn off the check engine light with a scanner. Being a ZE ... the suspension menu should have also disappeared, the part referring to "helmets" and fine adjustment + 3-3
The flaw was spinning the rear wheel in a gear, while the front didn't spin. Take it as a fault in some rotation sensor
