When switching the display on I hear a funny noise followed by a quiet constant high pitched sound........can anyone tell me if this is normal

Mine is a gen 2 and makes strange noise as it starts up and then can hear a quiet high pitched sound coming from battery area of bike...really asking owners of gen 2 bikes if experience same noises.

When you say "When switching the display on" do you mean turning the key on or...

Last time I checked, electronics had no moving parts 8)

i turn the key on and then press the button on the right side of the handlebars and it makes all kinds of noise. ::015:: ::021::

Yes I turn the key on and I get a strange noise for a few seconds as display comes on,then I get a quiet high pitched sound that is constant...all I am asking is,is this normal...not a difficult question

That is standard for the Tenere. I have owned both Gen1 and Gen2. Should not be a concern.

Thats just the fuel pump working to fill the line before startup.
