Located in Los Osos California (Central California Coast). $8,750 cash, no trades please. 24,860 miles currently. Still commuting to work 3 days a week.

Purchased in June 2016. Major service including spark plugs, air filter, oil change, final drive oil and new tires front & rear completed in early Summer 2019. This motorcycle has been responsibly ridden and very well maintained!!!

Extras included and on the bike are;

1. California Scientific large windshield.
2. Prop Soto (forum member) windshield stiffening brackets.
3. Yamaha accessory Winglets
4. LED headlight bulbs, with LED marker light bulbs, and Deftoner (forum member) large headlight caps.
5. Cortech Magnetic tank bag.
6. Cell phone cradle.
7. Rox Riser handlebar risers.
8. IMS Adventure footpegs.
9. Yamaha side panniers (silver) and rack mounts.
10. Tour master heated jacket power plug. Battery tender pig-tail.
11. Slime electric air compressor (stashed under passenger seat) and unused tire plug repair kit.

Really liked this motorcycle, however I find myself only riding asphalt now so I am going to try an FJR.

Thanks for looking.

Hi have the valve clearances been checked for the 24k service?
The valves have not been checked. My manual indicates the valves should be checked every 26,600 miles. That being said, there are no outward signs the valve clearance is out of spec. The bike starts very easy, runs smoothly, doesn't over-heat, pulls strongly when needed, does not have any odd noises given off by the engine, still gets great fuel mileage 48-49 mpg and does not smoke. When I changed the spark plugs (4 total), the originals were in excellent condition showing no serious wear and a good coco light brown coloration. Not black sooty, or ashy white with deteriorated electrode tip.

Thanks for the question.

I’ll throw the hard wired Garmin mount and the Garmin unit. This a very nice bike. Kenny Rogers would proud to take it for a spin. It would match his old leathers.

Really? That's cool. I think Kenny Roberts is more famous for racing on yellow Yamahas though.

I agree Don! That’s the allure of the 2016 Anniversary model, it reminds middle aged dudes like me of the 1970’s, yellow Yamahas, Cycle News, King Kenny, Pierre Karsmakers, Hurricane Hannah Yada-Yada-Yada. The middle aged part was also supposed to be funny - probably older is more accurate???

Very interesting ! I just read the obituary and a bunch of stuff about the family but never saw any mention of motorcycles.
