I have read through the various electrical threads, and I'd like to make certain my understanding is correct. If you could verify I have it right, or tell me what I have wrong, I'd appreciate it. I will get a manual pretty soon.
The 2 unused, 2 pin connectors under the right side on a '14 non ES are for grip heaters. As I understand it the OEM grip heaters are plug and play, and when the system senses they are there, a new menu will be available on the display to allow me to control them.
The 3 pin connector under the Rt cowl contains one switched power lead, one unswitched power lead and a ground. This connector was origonally intended for OEM aux lights. Were those lights on all the time? I don't understand what controlled them and why they would have both switched and unswitched power.
The four pin connector under the rt. cowl is a diagnostic connector.
What is the 4 pin connector under the seat for? Heated seat?
Thanks, any clarification will be greatly appreciated.
