2013 ST - STEALTH

I have a 13 ST "Stealth"...or what I call it anyway. My reason?...If one is not familiar with the Yamaha "crossed tuning forks", you wouldn't have any idea of the manufacturer. There is no "Yamaha" (except for the barely noticeable right side cover)...no engine output (1200cc), etc.

Since I have owned it less than a month, there have been numerous people ask me..."what is that?". I love it!!! I'm also surprised how many "riders" have no idea what it is...even when I point out the 3 crossed tuning forks. ???

It's all good by me...and a great conversation starter!

I get what you mean. My bike get more stares, and some ask questions about it. With my ex-Versys, no one bothered with it.

I have a '13 same colour. The tuning forks amply denote Yamaha, and I don't need the word spelt out. Mine has the words Super Tenere on the upper side covers. The only missing information is the 1200 cc, but I don't really care about this? I am sometimes asked what cc and I simply say 1200.

I did that with my 2010 Z1000...no Kawasaki banding anywhere. People always thought it was some exotic custom.

I am always asked what size engine. Most, including the bikers that ask are surprised when I tell them.
