2012 Yamaha Super Tenere - black
-32,878 miles as of January 29 2019
-Located Ellicott City MD
-Original owner purchased via Yamaha's PDP deposit program and delivered in August 2011
-Mainly used for commuting in San Diego prior to moving to Maryland in 2015. Since then mile accumulation has been slow. Sometimes you'll see ads for this kind of motorcycle that say "used as intended" which is more or less saying "beat to hell." This has not been used as intended, and if not commuting was used for sport touring. Has been on dirt roads but maybe 0.5% of its life. Probably less than that.
-Maintenance has been performed as scheduled, all by me. I'm qualified. One valve was out of spec, and was corrected at the major 26k service (done a bit early). Written record available.
-Currently mounted tires are Shinko 804/805. Don't get the wrong idea, this has been a recent change because I thought that I'd get a chance to ride in Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania. I only used them once on those dirt roads, and was really in no condition to ride that day due to some exotic virus ravaging my body. Never bothered to take them off. I have a set of Continental Road Attack 2 Evo tires that can go on as well. That rear one is a bit flat spotted in the centerline. Either way, both sets of tires go with the bike.
-Altrider rear case mount $229.97
-Givi side case racks (not the quick release kind) $206.10
-SW Motech skid plate $336.95
-Altrider crash bars (minor scuff on ride side paint finish) $482.97
-Skene "photon blaster" lights with alert and turn signal feature. These are a genuine life saver. I don't like riding a bike without them. $165
-Madstad adjustable windscreen bracket (They don't sell this anymore since it seems that they have the thought that they can make a better windscreen and pair their brackets with a windscreen nowadays. I paid $153.85)
-Calsci Medium Windscreen $185
-Flash Tune ECU bikeside flash kit. I was one of the pioneering users of this software for the Super Tenere. My map is set that Touring mode is as stock, Sport mode is smooth in gears 1-2 at low rpm with top end restriction removed. Higher gears are more or less 1:1 throttle opening as if it was a real throttle and not electronic. I keep it in Sport mode. $380
-Protaper (I think) ATV Mid handlebar $63
-Vibration isolating adjustable Rox handlebar risers $146.65
-RideOnAdv longer brake and clutch lines to accommodate the higher bars $116
-Oxford Adventure heated handgrips $89.95
-Amazon Chinese LED lightbar mounted under the headlights $20
-FIAMM freeway blaster low tone horn powered via relay $16
-Fuzeblocks FZ-1 switched power distribution $89.99
-Shorai LFX19A4-BS12 lithium battery $160
-Altrider sidestand foot
-Stock windscreen, brake lines, rear luggage rack

I played the Incredible Hulk one time when replacing the right side upper fairing and tightened a screw enough to crack the plastic. I epoxied the back side of it so it is quite strong, but the cracks are still evident.
The gas tank has a ding on the left front which is maybe the diameter of the tip of my pinky finger. I have dainty fingers. The depth is maybe a mm or two. I have no idea how this happened. I have 2 little kids, so I blame them.

Add up the current rates of all those aftermarket parts, and you'll see just how stupid I am. Roughly $3000 on top of a bike that cost me $13.5k new. Stupid because you now get those things for pennies on the dollar. Lucky you.

Asking $6200, will negotiate depending upon interest.

Photos coming when I can get some that show the pieces and parts. Maybe a week or so.

Too bad, s'posed to be some outstanding roads to enjoy out there. They pack a dozen states into the space California takes up.

Hi neighbor -

Hang in there. It's a tough time of year to sell.

Oh yeah, no problem waiting until Spring. I'm just riding whenever the weather is decent, and those Shinko tires are a killjoy on paved roads.

My XSR900 should be gone this coming Saturday, so at least one guy is thinking ahead 2 months to when it will be nice outside.

Next day: he backs out. Pretty much typical for selling bikes, but it is a strange thing to me to be willing to send a deposit (which I'm glad I told him no) then to back out just days later. To me, bikes are apparently a much higher priority than to the typical craigslist buyer.
