I have one on the way.
I'm planning on mounting it this spring sometime...............I'll post up when I do.
Right on! If I ever make it back to Colorado (I believe that’s where you are) I’d like to ride with you. Was there a couple years ago, see events forum under Steve’s not a rally vacay or something like that.

Thanks for the correction/clarification.
Did I see a review somewhere you did on Metzler Karoo 3’s?

Also... emailed Mitas, got a response and responded back. I’ll post up when I hear back.
Here it is... Basically no more of the original E07 size for the Tenere. Not posted...I was told there is one non-Dakar left I could get (not two as stated below). Am I possibly getting the last original E07 150/70-17:)? They are to get back to me on cost to get to to me.

Here's the response...

Thanks for your e mail regarding the E-07 / E-07+ Tyres, unfortunately Mitas have no intention of producing the E-07 as the E-07+ was the replacement in various sizes, the 150/70-17 being one of them.

The big market for these tyres is in South Africa and Australia where they are extremely popular and these markets influenced the change from the E-07 pattern with the wider spacing offering better grip in adverse conditions. The E-07 was criticised for being too road biased so very intensive testing over many months in South Africa resulted in the development of the E-07+.

If you are interested I still have a couple of the E-07 Tyres in size 150/70-17 but these will be the last available.

Regards

Trellesport

If you like the tire I would jump on it. I'm willing to bet they will give you a good deal.

If you plan on coming out here, give me a heads-up.
Lots of good Adventure-riding here in CO.

When I was doing my western states travels I really wanted to go up to the Rockys. Unfortunately it was still frozen in May. I chickened out. What are the good months of the year where the passes are open?

If you really want to ride the "Good Stuff", you have to come late-July or August. Sometimes early-September you get lucky too, but the snow is already starting to fly in the high-country in September.
