Anyone know where I can locate the M12x1.25 65mm long studs used to replace the bolts for skid place/crash guards mounting for an easier oil change? Thanks in advance,
Steve

Cal Ranch has them if you have those where you live. In fact I've found Cal Ranch pretty much has the best stock for metric hardware.

+1 on McMaster-Carr; I buy a ton of stuff from them, and they have a huge selection of hardware. Another on-line choice is Grainger.

McFadden Dale down in OC is also a good resource.

Went there. No studs. They had 3' of all thread. May have to go that route and cut it to size. I should have checked the bolts to see if they had any with full length threads. Everything I saw online at the other mentioned sources did not have bolts with full threads.
Still looking

Believe it or not, Ebay is a good place to look. I purchased Stainless metric flange bolts for the exact size I needed for my FJR. Maybe pay a bit more but can get exactly what you want without leaving the comfort of your easy chair and delivered in a couple days.

Do you guys recommend a solidly threaded stud or the kind that has the reverse twist and unthreaded space between opposing threads? I don't know the name of the opposing threads type of stud but I hope you get my drift.

No reverse twist. The spacer is nice but not needed. The 65mm stud will bottom out fine.

I ended up buying 3' of allthread.
I will cut it to size
That's exactly what I did. All I could find local was a meter of the threaded rod and 4 nuts for $18. I used 140mm of it lol. My cut with a hacksaw was not straight at all but what do ya know the nuts still went on no problem. I just installed the studs and ACD skid plate today.

I would be happy to.
It may take awhile. I just had shoulder surgery. It is going to be weeks before I can even think about it.
Let me make mine and see how they work and I will report here.
Anyone else?
Let me know here and PM me so I have a record.
