Feeling lucky today, clipped a deer.

We do have some deer in Oz, but kangaroos are the main concern. I've hit 9 of them. One female, 8 males, all killed. One bike written off, an thousands of dollars damage on a few occasions. Thankfully I've not come off the bike despite most of those impacts being over 100kph.

How important is how long a tire lasts?

I thought I read somewhere that these big Tenere bikes were for touring*. To be fair, that implies long distance and makes daily tire changes a drag, no matter how much you like good times spooning with your club buddies. *

A big Toyota Tundra, a little Casita RV, and a kind of big Tenere.

Sierra, both the Ford Falcon ute and the Holden Maloo ute (a modified Holden Commodore ute) were made in Australia. My 2015 Falcon XR6 runs the 195kW 4.0L straight six, but there was a factory turbo (270kW) version and until about 2010 a 5.4L V8 was available. Unfortunately both Ford and...

A big Toyota Tundra, a little Casita RV, and a kind of big Tenere.

But the Tenere may not be the best for travelling with the wife plus the dog, Chris. The premise here is a nice long comfy family road trip with the occasional bike ride as the bonus. Some people don't have the luxury of time to do two big road trips. Recently I "trucked" my Tenere on a 6 day...

Auxiliary fuel tank fitted - JAZ cell

Thanks for those replies Eric, I've been absent for a while. Craig if you follow Eric's links and where to buy bits you will be fine. As for the aux tank sump, if you look at my JAZ install, the tank is sitting on two sections of 50mm/2 inch alloy square tube. I have used the steel...
