Wanted: OEM Exhaust Headers (UK) or aftermarket full system

I'm planning on handing the bike over to someone more competent than me to extract :D Wimp I know - but should it go wrong, they've got the tools to hand to heat/drill/extract etc & after 75k, i doubt I'll be doing it on this bike again.

Wanted: OEM Exhaust Headers (UK) or aftermarket full system

Interesting, but a bit of faff I have spotted the arrow headers aren't toooo expensive, but still if someone has the OEM kit I'd happily relieve them of that. Dealer is expecting stud removal to be painful so will see this summer out then approach when they're less busy

Brake disks - OEM or aftermarket

Couldn't see a recent thread by searching for "brake disks", My rear is done, front will be in due course, so a question for the community, Looking to save money obviously, but not at the cost of safety/performance. What are your thougths on OEM vs 3rd party brake disks, Alternatively...

    Stolen, recovered, broken steering lock

The whole ignition piece housing the key barrel/steering pock mechanism/immobiliser gubbins had a giant crack round it. The key lock pin was rattling about - it could have engaged with a bit of the then bent flange that the pin engages with. Imagine riding along and suddenly the bars wont move...

    S10 Discontinued?

My (UK) dealer quitely suggested there will be a big-adv bike in the future during a service earlier this year, no further details, quite possibly spreading rumours in the hope of discouraging the purchase of certain german alternatives. My `16 is at 60k miles and every time I start to mull a...

    Wanted: Rigid Industries Ignite Cable

Not discontinued, but they can't/won't sell the cable alone & have zero stock (despite what the website says) in the UK. I could probably warranty via the Rigid-US (and was encouraged to try that) but there's not enough time prior to an event I've managed to craft a compatible cable so problem...

    Wanted: Rigid Industries Ignite Cable

The Ignite units have a removable cable on the back, it's just a 3.5mm dc connector - but what makes it difficult is it has a moulded recess for a clip-on retention plate (with fixing screwholes to secure the cable) & an o-ring I can't find them for sale after a good search online, even though...

Need help getting ergonomics to work

This will be due to the relative positions of seat & grips, no idea what'll work for you but I had something similar on my v-strom, I found the sweep was too much & the bars too close - going to a shallower sweep & straighter bars sorted it right out.

What tyres does your S10 wear?

Anakee 3's for about 55 of the 60k miles on my S10, I've never had an issue with noise or vibrations, and i find them quite quick to turn in but more importantly just super predictable in all conditions, get about 6k out of a pair before the rear is square and the front is chamfered. Now my 701...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Cheers both, I do have the factory fog lamps under the headlights so I think moving the toolkit under the seat & popping the compressor for the two part denali into it's space is the way I'll go.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

My horn beeped its last beep today, is there a way to mount the soundbomb in the OEM location? mounting on the RHS of the engine case doesn't appeal

It's time for an update Yamaha.

I'd be happy with a 1000cc T7 with a shaft drive, cruise + traction control, and more of a premium fit & finish - the rest is either a liability waiting to hurt your wallet, bells/whistles that i'll prob forget, or OEM farkles I'd rather change for 3rd party versions anyway.

    Pannier Lid Latch replacement

Let me know if you're willing to ship to the UK at my risk wrt tracking, After a theft/recover last year the latch on my top-box was stolen - I replaced the entire top box, but repair of the broken one would give me a spare to use / pass on.
