What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Fitted the Skene dimmer to my Baja Squadrons after the original bulky-white brick smoked itself. The Skene unit is about 1/5 the size and brightness is adjusted by using the high beam switch rather than some rinky dink wireless remote control. Very pleased with the unit so far. Sent from my...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

This is actually from yesterday, but Japa is a day ahead of you guys anyhow If any of you are using the older Baja Squadron driving lights with the white dimmer box, beware that the dimmer is working at or near max capacity. As you can see in the photo the power MOSFET is fried. You might also...

Need to disassemble OEM pannier rack. What parts do I keep?

Hopefully you have the original bolts for the grab handles. They are shorter. Other than that, the black, heavy gauge steel hardware is easy to identify and remove. Sent from my SC-04F using Tapatalk

    Arrow Headers After Install?

He is running the Arrow headers. You cannot run them with the CAT, because the CAT is welded to the OEM headers.

Baja Design Pro Squadron vs Piaa 530s

Depends on intended use. If you spend most of your time on pavement, the extra 200.00 is best spent elsewhere, IMO. I own the squadron LEDs. They definitely throw more light than the PiAA 530's, but dimming them for on-coming traffic is a must because the beam dispersion is in a large circle...

    Handlebar thread

Re: Re: What you did to your Tenere today??!! +1. The sweep messes with me as well. Too much strain between the shoulder blades and on the neck. I've dragged my feet on buying the Fasst flex bars. Maybe this will be the year. The tradeoff is I'll be rubbing against the tank bag.

I think I have had it with Dealers

Re: I think I have had it with Yamaha Dealers Remove the dust caps, insert the hook-shaped tool, slide it in a COMPLETE CIRCLE around the seals then pull out. Repeat as necessary. You are doing something wrong.

I think I have had it with Dealers

Re: I think I have had it with Yamaha Dealers Regardless of your experience/pedigree, chances are the seals are not blown after 4000 miles. Lookup 'Sealmate.' It's a thin, flexible, hook-shaped tool made for removing dirt from fork seals. Chances are that you didn't need to replace the seals at...

ECU touch up on first service?

Bwaaahaha! Wouldn't it help if the bike had 'carbs?' ...and it's sync, not 'sink.'

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

+1. I use a Seal Mate. It works great... Much better than replacing seals that don't need replaced.

The BIG Dynojet PowerCommander V and AutoTune Q&A topic

Re: The BIG Dynojet PowerCommander V and AutoTune Q&A topic For anyone who is running the O2 optimizers and Arrow headers, what have you found to be the best setting to smooth out the surging?

Dash Voltmeters - Lets See Em

If you overdraw your charging system for and extended period, you might not have enough battery charge left to restart the engine after stopping somewhere for a break, or stalling the engine. A voltmeter will will show you when you are drawing too much (battery discharging) so you can shut off...

Manual CCT and wow what a difference.

Re: Manual CCT and wow what a difference. Gawd no! Drain the kerosene as much as you can, then burn the residual with a blow torch in the drain hole. Keep the filler cap removed while you do this.
