    Rectifier/regulator beeping? Bike is dead

I was wondering too - is it Brian James (WWE) or maybe a connection with this crazy beast: - ......... https://nationalmcmuseum.org/2016/04/30/roadog-lives-at-the-national-motorcycle-museum/

    Thank You and Good Night

All the best with the new ride - a brief report would be interesting before you leave us. I have been thinking/dithering along similar lines & looked at the Tracer9 GT+, the MG Mandello S & Stelvio, the Z900RS SE retro &, more recently the Honda NC750X DCT. It was fun browsing, but I think I...

2013 Super Tenere with intermittent poor idling/stalling issues

It sounds like an Intermittent air leak, inlet side. You have replaced the inlet rubbers, but was the balancing port cap replaced when the new TB/fuel lines were fitted? These crack up with age & usually leak when cold, but can self-seal once hot, so the symptoms go away.

    Headset Bracket Breaking

You have tried the only viable solution. Have you got any extra weight on the cross bar, such as navs or phones? Many owners of Gen2 bikes have added bracing brackets between the screen adjusters & winglet mounting points to destress the front fairing. The question is, did the weld fail...

    Poor starting - electrical

So, we have a 2012, with c.19k miles, that seems sluggish to start....when compared with your previous 2007 FJR. Can we assume there are no codes showing on the dash? My first reaction is 'they all do that ,sir'. It's 2 big pistons, firing at 270, so apes a 90 v-twin. Like many big twins...

    Overheating… with an Err.

I understand you are a Canadian, living in Mexico, but we know nothing about your ride. We need year, mileage/km, service history & modifications if any. Has the ECU been flashed? Is it a US bike or does it have the immobiliser system that talks to the ign key? Was there already a problem...

    No power to left headlight

Are you sure? Most LED lights are polarity-sensitive. Maybe you have one side reverse-biased, so it won't light up.

How to tell Arrow headers from stock?

It should be fairly obvious, if you compare the diameter of the section between where the twin headers join & the silencer: - Arrow .......... https://www.arrow.it/en/assembled/1023/Yamaha-XT-1200Z-Super-T%C3%A9n%C3%A9r%C3%A9-2010 OE...

Suzuki launch a new bike, the GSX-S1000GSX

It was mentioned in this introductory video for Bennetts, talking with with Suzuki UK management (c23' mark): - ........... After market providers, such as Givi may well want to step up too the plate, but we don't know what the rear subframe load ratings are as yet. Suzuki talk of using a...

Suzuki launch a new bike, the GSX-S1000GSX

Surely it's aimed at the Versys1000, a tallish cross-over bike. The GX will have that peachy old 2005 GSXR motor, retuned a tad no doubt, but it's not a complete package.............yet. It's easy enough to fit some after market heated grips, but a 2-up tour leaves luggage a problem, as it...

    Cruise control fault

Remember these are double pole switches though, one talking to CC, one to the brake light circuit. Anyway, if you are satisfied it is the throttle switch, then I sense it is best to prove it before any spend - either as suggested previously or remove & bench test. Failing that, have you spoken...

    Cruise control fault

Without a wiring diag @outdoor , I'm not sure what the ECU expects to see in normal run condition from the throttle switch. Have you tried setting cruise, on the road, with the throttle switch either disconnected, or the leads jumped? Just a thought, we have had riders unable to set CC, yet...

    Cruise control fault

I believe you have a 2020 MY bike, so the diagnostic checks should point you directly at the issue. However IIRC from your other posts across various different threads, problems emerged after a flash & the fitting of Arrow headers, so one has to consider what has been disturbed during these...

    Hard start

Whilst the codes suggest either the air intake pressure sensor, the TPS or side stand switch, I'm thinking starter motor, the associated relays all need to be checked, as others mention. Annoying, but simple enough to check through methodically. Failing that, I would be checking the valve...

    R1300GS...the what how why

Just an early review I picked up, filmed in Romania ............ (watch out for bears) It's the 719 option, for those interested in running it through their local configurator, the most expensive option currently. Personally, I've never been a huge GS fanboy. I ran an 800 twin for a while...

Might have to sell, tingling hands.

Not a problem I have encountered touring on my 2014 ES. Are you absolutely sure those TBs are spot on? I guess you could try Grip buddies - foam grip overlays. They cushion the grips & increase the diameter slightly, but have the downside that they reduce the effectiveness of the heated...

To strip or not to strip

Corrosion....in RSA? Sounds unusual, what is the back story - mileage, accident history, service record, value (8Y/O) I wonder? It's a huge job, a restoration project that I doubt will improve it's perceived market value significantly. It's amazing how ACF50 & some rattle can work can tidy a...
