I appreciate the info! I hope to get some detailed trail maps of the western mountain areas similar to what I had for Colorado. I got most of them at REI and other sporting goods stores. I will for sure get out to the Dragon, if not this year then surely the next.

Re: Replacing it tomorrow They would be fine if I stuck to pavement. On gravel roads and light trails they were getting a bit to squirrelly for me.

Replacing it tomorrow Here you go guys, a pick of the tire with 6,000 miles on it. I run the rear tire at about 40 or 41 psi. I'm about 250 # I'm getting another one put on tomorrow. I'm leaving my original Shinko 705 Front Tire on. This will be the 3rd rear for this front tire.

My experience is about the same vis a vis the pressure. I also just leave them at that high pressure when I run them on trails as well.

When you get to Colorado (Denver area) and it's a weekend hit up the 'Usual Suspects' in the West/Colorado sub forum. We usually get out on weekends for some good stuff.

I see you're from Ohio but if you plan to be in Colorado hit Terry up via the contact info on his web site. He's a super nice guy and LOVES to ride. Also let him know you found the review here. Ask him if he remembers Mark on the blue Super Tenere from last year.

Welcome. Given the late season snow the usual group of us that ride west of Denver have yet to get out. Well at least off the pavement and gravel county roads. We were able to get to the Goose Creek area by this time last year. I'm on the south side of Brighton.
