Between my '21 and '23 I have 38,800 miles, plenty of cross country trips and no issue that has left me stranded. Only issues have been of the minor annoyance type and were taken care of quickly by the dealer. Not trying to convince you to try one. To each their own. All brands have some issues

You shouldn't say that until you've ridden one for a bit. Chassis dynamics are quite a step ahead of 99.9% of Japanese bikes.

Welcome Nate, As long as they're both ES than they are the same bike. Totally your call but a low mileage '18 should save you a bunch of cash over a new '23. Good news is you'll enjoy either of them.

Be careful it may not want to leave. They are famous for key fob issues. Wouldn't wish one of those on my worst enemy although in all fairness 1 in 5 seems to be somewhat trouble free.
