    Ignition Coils/Wet riding

I'm pretty certain it's water. Did another 200 miles today and it's fine. I'm suspecting that maybe waymter gets into the connector to the ignition coils

    Ignition Coils/Wet riding

Thanks again folks. As always, your knowledge is amazing!! Quick update. I did 200 miles yesterday (first dry ride in ages) and the problem has HOPEFULLY cleared itself. That leads me to believe it was water somewhere? I have another 150 miles or so today so let's see what happens. If it returns...

    Ignition Coils/Wet riding

Thanks cyclemike and thanks 5fl. I'll definitely check the fuel connector tonight. One of the problems for me is that my S10 is my only transport and I use it every day. It's really horrible having to ride it like this and it limits the amount of time I get to check things. I'll look at that...

    Ignition Coils/Wet riding

Thanks folks. I really appreciate all your replies. I will certainly try the paper towel trick to see if my petrol cap is leaking. I took the coils out again tonight to check. Each coil was reading 1.5 primary and 9.5 secondary, which I believe suggests they are all fine. I did a valve check and...

    Ignition Coils/Wet riding

So...back to square one. The problem came back (after several more 6hr+ rides in the rain). I cleaned up the airbox (there was a bit of water in there). I removed all coils and plugs. All sparking fine. There was water in plug no.1 but I changed that plug as a precaution. After all those checls...

I've been looking at those too. Has anyone got them?? If not, I might go with the VisionX obes that Bimota has recommended

    Denali 2.0 DM trioptic

Cheers Rob. Still faffing but got to get something soon. Just wish someone did some with mounting kit and everything included. I'd like to mount mine low down to get maximum view of the road surface and hopefully avoid dazzling any car drivers.
