Anybody found a neutral between five and six?

'12...30K...Rotella... It's probably only happened five or six times, and always when we're gettin it; but like E4R sez, it makes you sick to your stomach.

Once in a blue moon, when I really get on it, if I don't pop it good, neutral between five and six. Anybody else?

Valve adjustment - more lessons learned

One more thing: If you're checking metric clearance numbers, use your metric feeler gauges. If your numbers are imperial/standard, then use that set for your equations. Don't mix up the two. Sounds impossible to screw up, but I managed.

stuck in ouray, co - grinding/rattling noise cam chain area

Good job doing Black Bear on KLR! Think about this: Ouray, up Imogene Pass then down to Telluride. Have lunch, take a ride on the free ski lift, then bring Last Dollar Road back to Ouray. If you get to Imogene, I double dog dare you to climb to the shack up there.

stuck in ouray, co - grinding/rattling noise cam chain area

You went in the Hot Springs, right? It's well worth the $12, open from 10-10 and you can leave and come back same day. Movie was pretty good, and there's a store that sells gear to miners that had some interesting stuff.

    Show Us Your Panniers

Funny you should mention panniers. While cutting through the very muddy parking lot after Ironman National Saturday, I forgot how much a tenere with a worn K60 hates sloppy clay. With traction control off, that back wheel passed me up before I knew it, and I got my leg pinned under the left...

BROKEN oil pan, need SKID plate!

I went to Yamaha dealer requesting oil filter and was asked if I wanted the long or short? Why I said, "short." And since that day I can remove the filter without removing Altrider skid plate. Have no idea of any pros or cons, other than the motor hasn't blown up, which is a pro.
