    final drive temperature

Thanks a lot for all the replies, makes me feel much better that I didn't screw things up. I was initially thinking that I'll have to replace the bearing again else I'll damage the drive.

    final drive temperature

I recently replaced two bearings of my rear wheel, I bought the bearings from parzilla and after replacing the bearings when I went to put the wheel back on, the axel was just a little bit tighter going in through the new bearing on the brake side than the original one. With the old bearings I...

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

I've heard a lot of good things about seafoam on project farm YT channel etc and I already keep a few bottles at hand and add one to the tank every thousand miles or so. @~TABASCO~ about how the water got it - surprisingly all it took was a heavy thunderstorm, I've never had this issue with...

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

@patrickg450 thanks for that info, I'm sure I'll have to do that at some point to some bike.

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

Turns out it indeed was water in the tank, I added a hose to the base of the fuel pump nozzle and turned on the fuel pump by putting the ignition in ON and what came out was a clear mixture of fuel and NOT fuel. So I emptied all the contents of the tank as Tabasco suggested, filled it with fresh...

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

@patrickg450 I like that idea, I'm gonna try and search for how to use starter fluid but if you have any instructions or links please let me know, I've never done this before.

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

@scott123007 you might be right, when I opened the fuel cap for a closer look there appears to be multiple droplets of water around the side of the gas cap so it does feel like water seeped into the tank. @OldRider Charged the battery fully overnight and it is still doing the same thing...

In fuel it is very unlikely, in coils...can't say, I can check.

Engine died after about 5 minutes into a ride

I headed out for a ride today and the bike started as usual, about 2 minutes after started as I was waiting for a red light I noticed that the idle speed would drop for maybe three or four seconds to about 900 to 1000 rpm and then will come back to usual 1200-1300 rpm for three or four seconds...

Pro Taper Evo ADV High Bar Install (with original question)

@SkunkWorks would you happen to remember the final length of the clutch and brake line? Also, would you mind explaining how the abs module come input play with bleeding the brakes. I am wondering if ABS and the fact that the front and rear brakes are linked makes the bleeding process much more...

Need help getting ergonomics to work

That is so detailed, thanks a lot @SkunkWorks I'm sure that will help a lot. Since the extended lined from Jaxon is out of stock currently I'm also considering a single line and removing any junction points in the middle. Wondering if it will be easy to do for both brake and clutch line.

Need help getting ergonomics to work

About the bar ends, I saw a video of a guy swapping handle bars on MT-09 with ProTaper Contour (banshee bend I think) and he just used a tap to create the threads that the bar ends threaded into successfully, I am thinking of trying that. And yeah, I am expecting that I'll have to drill in a few...

Need help getting ergonomics to work

Yeah I currently have 2" rox riser but I ordered the high bar so that I could avoid the riser if the bar is sufficiently high.

Need help getting ergonomics to work

I am starting to agree that handlebar sweep might be the cause of the pinching/pain in my middle back between shoulder blades. After reading the messages above I went for an experiment ride yesterday and after the pain started I tried to change my grip so that I was holding the bar with my index...

Luckily for my 5'8" height the windscreen is good height and creates a nice pocket of stable air.

@Paul466 would you happen to have a link, there are too many option with protaper raptor (contour, atv bend etc). For tenere I should look for 1 1/8th inch right?

Need help getting ergonomics to work

@Sierra1 Won't say new to this bike, I've done about 9k miles on it over the last 11 months approx. and I go out for ride almost every other week if not every week and have been trying to tough it out since day 1.
