@scott123007 you might be right, when I opened the fuel cap for a closer look there appears to be multiple droplets of water around the side of the gas cap so it does feel like water seeped into the tank. @OldRider Charged the battery fully overnight and it is still doing the same thing...

It is a 2014 gen 2, non-ES, about 22k miles.

In fuel it is very unlikely, in coils...can't say, I can check.

About the bar ends, I saw a video of a guy swapping handle bars on MT-09 with ProTaper Contour (banshee bend I think) and he just used a tap to create the threads that the bar ends threaded into successfully, I am thinking of trying that. And yeah, I am expecting that I'll have to drill in a few...
