Just started it again,same thing as before but the EML light stayed on after I blipped the throttle…. I caught an error code before it disappeared off the screen ‘13’… Wtf is that now?…ABS… FFS!!

Right, Replaced the rubber hose for a clear pipe. No change. Bike starts, EML comes on and goes off… then the revs go up and down at tickover then it eventually stalls. Had the airbox off, checked all connections under there that I could see, nothing obvious loose or damaged. No code on dash...

Thanks for all your input:):( guys... I'll start looking at the hoses first as that's an easy fix when I get home tonight. I'll let you know how it goes later on. I feckin' hate anything electrical going wrong especially with ECU or Fuel Injection systems... it does my feckin' head in...

Wiz Performance ECU reflash, Standard headers have been 'decatted' and a Mivv end can fitted. Not had chance to even look at the bike yet as I'm at work. :( Not sure on how to check the codes tbh... will search forum later for process unless someone can point me to the post... :)

Looks like you've already got the cam cover off Tom... mind you don't get that shite inside the engine... Like the guys above have said, I would give the area around the plugs a good poke about with a scriber or a long thin screwdriver to loosen off the crud then give them a good soak in diesel...

Changed 7 of the 8 shims… three exhaust valve shims were at .21 with one at .20mm three inlet valves at .10… Mileage is 25,400 miles… Not a particularly difficult job but getting the cam cover off & on was a pain in the arse…

Changed the standard spring for a Hyperpro spring. Blood was sacrificed in the pursuit of unspringing the spring to appease the suspension Gods... The swop over went ok so the blood offering must of worked! :)
