Gear Shifter Little Resistant to Shifting

I have a 2oz bottle of Tri-Flow Lube in my bike tools. It has a dropper nozzle that's perfect for the shifter pivot, and most other of the s10's pivots/fulcrum points. It also has a screw-on lid that is less likely to fall of and spontaneously clean and lube the tool bag!

    Most comfortable ear plugs?

I am a fan of the Flents Foamies. They are quiet, comfortable, and the flange keeps me from putting them in too deep. They last about one weekend before becoming to waxy. IIRC, the smaller package at Walmart had a small carrying box that would hold one pair. It kept them from getting nasty, and...

Looking for your wisdom on panniers

I had a set of givi trekker outback cases. One of the latches wore out where it attaches to the bike. No replacement parts are available for these cases, aside from replacement. I won't be buying Givi cases again. With that said, I'm still using the Givi Racks as an attachment point for the...

Would you spend 2500 USD on lights?

They have a low and a high beam. They also have a small marker light, for those who don't have the "always on" law to comply with. This is the model: https://www.jwspeaker.com/products/adaptive-led-headlights-model-8691-adaptive-2/

    Overheating, empty radiator

Water alone is a better conductor of heat than the proper water/coolant mix. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/glycol-or-water-coolant/

    Final drive crush washer

It is my understanding that the sulfur in gear oil attacks copper and brass parts. At least that's what the amsoil guide said when I was ordering lube for my Tacoma's transmission and Tcase. It's the sulfur that protects against sliding gear tooth movement wear and makes gear oil stink

Would you spend 2500 USD on lights?

I spent about $1300 on a pair of adaptive headlights that I mounted in front of the stock lights(which have been unplugged, and plasti-dipped). They light everything up better than the stock lights ever did. They also light up the inside while cornering. I do enough night riding to justify the...

Most compact thing to heat a cup of soup or coffee?

I'm a fan of the MSR Windburner. Everything fits inside: fuel, burner, stand. The cooker nests inside a plastic cup, and tops off with a lid. It has enough fuel for a weekend(maybe two) of boiling water for coffee and dehydrated meals, for one person.

    Clutch Master Cylinder

There's lots of aluminum dust in my clutch master cylinder. I bought the rebuild kit, but forgot to get the snapring pliers. Three questions: 1: Which snapring pliers are you using? 2: Is aluminum dust in the clutch reservoir normal? 3: If not, would a rebuild solve the problem, or do I need a...

It would be an asinine design for it not to be rebuildable, since it won't last the life of the bike. And it costs $2500

    Sports Mode...

I've found, to my surprise, that the traction control is not always aggressive enough to keep the front tire on the ground: Upon aggressive takeoff, loaded with gear, quickly snapping the throttle closed, then back open, will result in the front tire rising approximately 1'. It did come down...

    Rear spring rate

For the ES: The Cogent rep recommended I source my fork parts directly from yamaha, and that they can't service the rear. Then told me to go to Race Tech for more info. I'm waiting for a reply from Race Tech about that options I have to rebuild/upgrade, and still keep it "ES"
