What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Oh, okay, yea I'm not as concerned about the input on your tender at the wall, only that the voltage/amperage applied at the lead doesn't cause an electrical fire, which occurs after the buck down from 120v to 12.5ish volts at the output. Running a compressor off an SAE lead is fine. Just don't...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

You mean 12v? Or are you trying to say you're going to be running an inverter off the SAE lead? What wattage of inverter? What's the gauge of the SAE lead? My only concern is that you're not running it so hot that you melt the insulation on the SAE lead, which is what the fuse is meant to stop...

    Connector identification help.

Take the panel off the side and instead of looking near where the fuses are located, look at the very front of the bike, where the owner's manual is usually stored, it's just a big void space directly up front and low. Low, front, tucked behind some wiring, that's where I found the 3pin...

Which Exhaust Slip-On has the best sound / performance?

https://delkevic.com/delkevic-muffler-maintenance-and-re-packing-kit/ - that should do you fine. Every 10k miles is about the standard replacement cycle. No. Your fuel system will adjust for the decreased back pressure. Assuming no intake modifications (oiled filter, etc), it will be fine.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Well, I got a Giant Loop Armadillo awhile back, and it's a quality piece of kit that I should never need to use. The Cactus Canteen was seriously tempting but I'd already had a "bulk water" solution of a Watercell X 10L bladder a handful of years ago. So I made a knockoff cactus canteen with the...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Sorry, I didn't see this. Label the hubs on each side of the wheel 1-8 Set your torque wrench to 53.1in/lbs or 6nm Star pattern to tighten spokes while checking for cracks. A 5mm hex ball socket works best for getting easier angles. Should keep your wheel true. You can also do the old trail...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I was just going to edit my post, but the edit settings are aggressive here. Anyway, not going to work. Ah well.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Ah well, I'm still seeking a different path. I went out and put the actual gun boot in place to figure out placement of it vs just the mount, and bike on center stand, the case is half an inch from the floor. So it's a no go.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

After running soft bags for so long, I had to refit my hard bumot panniers today for a range trip tomorrow. I got to thinking about it and since I run the soft bags almost all of the time, and really only run the hard panniers when I have loads to carry or need relatively secure aluminum boxes...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

I got my dyno stuff back finally. Starting HP was 90, ending HP was 102; +12hp Now, to be fair, that starting HP was with the aftermarket parts already bolted to it, so it was lean. Arrow Headers + Arrow Exhaust + K&N filter --- when I only had the filter + Delkevic exhaust, there was no...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

They're probably some of the best "70/30" tires I've felt. They're not 50/50s, as much as they want them to be, and they're definitely not 80/20s, too squirrely in the wet and you can really feel the edge of the sidewall tread when you lean hard into a corner. They have eaten three thousand...

I also used the tusk when I swapped in my 900lb spring and they were also a one-time use product as far as I'm concerned. I immediately sent them back for fear they would fail if I ever used them again. Also I'm jealous of your bright red spring. Mine was raindy day grey. :D

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

lol, I always underestimate the amount of time it takes me to do things like that, even knowing what the hell I'm doing. Also, I'm probably going to be removing my ABS defeat at some point in the near future. I can trail drag the rear tire without ABS freaking out, and I've never really found...

SOLD: Delkevic 14" Stubby - Stainless Steel Oval with downpipe $80

I swapped over to Arrow Headers + an Arrow slip-on, so this is just taking up space. Has just under 4k miles on it. This is how it sounds with stock headers Delkevic Stubby 14" Exhaust on 2015 Super Tenere (baffle inserted) - YouTube $80 local to Central Ohio, + actual shipping if I need to...

Oil in Airbox- is this a common problem?

To be fair, the plastic itself is the point. It retains without slippage and there's no additional machining required to use it, and it only takes a semi-coarse thread to find bite. It's 100% a hand tighten, and stop at resistance not gorilla turning, experience. It sucks that you learned the...

Yea, mine too. I didn't see which you'd used, so I was making generalizations. I've been using a set of Hikari Ultra H7s since 2019.

Then it depends on the LED. Some have collars that allow you to reset the light's positioning, some are simply pop in and clip in place.
