Different color exhaust pipes an issue (with pics)?

Thanks guys...just glad this isn't an indicator of some kind of problem!

Different color exhaust pipes an issue (with pics)?

Not any rain riding of late, but could just be road grime?

Different color exhaust pipes an issue (with pics)?

Thanks for all the input; love this forum! What is the best way to clean that baked on stuff off of the pipes, please?

Different color exhaust pipes an issue (with pics)?

Hey guys, just noticed this on my 2017 Super Tenere...one of my exhaust pipes is "frosted" and the other one isn't. I have a little over 13k miles on the bike and I don't think this started until the last few hundred miles. Has anyone else noticed this, and does it indicate an...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Good to hear...As your bike is a Gen 2 w/aluminum side stand, may want to email Randall at Knight Design as well to encourage them to develop the proper pegs for the Gen 2 bikes. We need to let him know there's a market for them!

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Might not hurt to shoot Randall an email and let him know that...I offered to ride up there and let them use my bike for measurements, etc. We'll see. His email address is: randallk@knightdesignllc.com

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

I just got a nice email from Randall Knight. Basically what we were thinking...that they'd designed the peg around the Gen 1 and never updated it: Hello, I am the production manager at Knight Design. I was informed that you had sent an email back in September regarding a fitment issue with our...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

One thing I should point out is that it's really not that big a deal to grind/file the left peg to fit, and I can't see how it would weaken the peg at all. Also, to see the area that has been ground, you have to virtually be at eye level with it, as the profile from the top down is unchanged; so...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Did she respond back after you sent her the above photos/explanation? It's very clear that their pegs were designed around the Gen 1 bike, yet they advertise for 2012-2020. Yes, they're very high quality and make the bike feel much better to me (I'm also 6'1"). I'm not sure the 15mm from the...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Mine is a 2017. Did your email come from Leah? Interesting they mention "known interference" on the '21, yet won't acknowledge that my 2017 has an issue with interference. Yep, mines the aluminum with "wing" on it. Others are more qualified to confirm that 2014+ are all the same, but I believe...

Sounds good...please report back after speaking with them on whether or not they redesigned them.

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Thanks. The link you posted for the Knight Design pegs are the ones I installed. Will run with these for awhile and if need be may switch to a Seat Concepts seat.

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Had me worried there! Went and checked and they're definitely on the correct sides of bike. Also, I took that pic before installing cotter pin, but I did install. Appreciate the heads up though! As you can see in their website pic, the longer edge of the peg is the trailing edge, as I have them...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Well, I got the shift lever and brake lever adjusted to my satisfaction. Didn't end up cutting the brake lever adjusting rod; just adjusted down about as far as it'll go when left intact. The lever could be a bit lower, but after a short test ride I think I can easily get used to it. My brake...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Thanks Don. So is the upper nut partially under the rubber boot above the jam nut the one to turn for adjustment?

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Also, what is the purpose of the flats cut into the bottom of the adjusting bolt and the cotter pin that runs through it at the very bottom if you can cut the entire section with the flats off in order to lower the pedal further without creating an issue?

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

I was thinking it was the upper nut, partially covered by the rubber boot, that did the adjusting but didn't want to torque on anything without checking with others who have experience with it. If so, does that upper nut loosen so the rod can turn, or is it connected to the rod, and therefore is...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

At this point I'll have to see how close I can get. In adjusting the rear brake pedal, please see photo...do I need to remove cotter pin and transverse pin at bottom of "stirrup", then turn stirrup clockwise further up the threaded bolt until it can't go any further? Or can it be adjusted...

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Thanks...yes I installed Heli Bar risers, which I like a lot. This issue is specific to the sharp bend of the knees.

Lower or adjustable rider foot pegs for my '17 Super Tenere?

Thanks for your reply. I can see how that would be the case. I generally don't go hard enough to scrape anything however, so less so in my case:). For others who may be looking, I just found and ordered this product from Knight Design. They are 1.25" lower than OEM and they claim they use the...
