I need to raise my petrol tank to remove some sat nav wires which I think could be cable ties to the frame.
The videos I've found on YouTube seem to contradict each other.
Could anyone provide me with an idiots guide on how to pop the tanks up?
Many Thanks
Mike
I have just changed my Super Tenere for a later model. As part of the deal they transferred all my farkles from my old bike to new.
At present I have Givi S310 halogen spots mounted on my crash bars which were transferred to the new bike. They have now been on 4 Super Tens and about 80k...
As I said in a previous thread, it was with a heavy heart that I let my trusty Super Ten go as a trade in. She was a 2015 and had covered a reliable 47000m
I'd been thinking about it for a while and the deciding factors were;-
1 She needed about £1000 spending on her.........service inc...
My bike is due it's 48k service
At the last service I was warned by the mechanic that one stick was starting to corrode and it might be better to replace it.
The price of a 'genuine Yamaha part' is £170 but I'm certain that they are not produced by Yamaha.
Does anyone know who actually...
OK. My bike is 6 years old and has covered 46k miles
When I bought it brand new back in March 2015 I had Givi crash bars installed by the dealer
According to the Givi installation download the bars should bolt over item 15 in the diagram below

Second ride out today on my 2015 S10 after the winter and Corvid restrictions in the UK.
I used the Cruise on my local motorway and then turned it off for the twisties.
Stopped for a bite and when I switched of a code 90 appeared.
Next time I tried the Cruise it wouldn't engage.
Stopped...
Just seen the post that many can't see or post pictures so I thought I'd just check
Obviously it's working but can't seem to delete the post now!
Could a moderator please delete this post?

When my S10 was under manufacturer's warranty I used local Yamaha dealers for a service and to say that I was not impressed by the standard of workmanship is a vast understatement!
In 2017 I was recommended an independent mechanic near Bolton and he was absolutely fantastic. Fastidious in his...
I think this really highlights a problem in the UK market.
My S10 was first registered in 2015 and today I booked it in for the front brake switch to be replaced when the current Corvid lockdown ends.
I was asked for my mileage and replied '46'
'Is that 46 thousand?' he replied
When I...
At present I have a Cardo Q1 which I use to communicate to
1 My Sat Nav (BMW Nav V....I have a GSA 1250 as well as the S10. Might as well use the same nav on both bikes)
2 iPhone 10
I find it easier to access my music and phone through my sat nav
I have the phone and sat nav paired to my...
Hi All
I'm basically looking to tap into the vast pool of knowledge out there (creep) regarding which communication system to buy
I intend to replace my old Cardo Q1 set which has served me well for a few years
This is what I am looking for
1 Better audio and music quality (music stored on a...
Hi All
Might be time to replace my battery and have decided, if I do to go down the Yuasa route
I have seen on here that many prefer the extra power of the YTZ14S over the original YTZ12S
Can anyone please tell me if the above 2 batteries are the same size?
If the '14' is slightly larger are...

A friend of mine has just noticed a pipe which appears to have come off something. Can anyone help identify what it is
Looking at the radiator side of the bike, near the back of the petrol tank (petrol over-flow pipe?)
Bike is an 18 model with ESA
Many thanks

Had my bike for almost 5 years now and it's showing just under 42000m.
I really like the bike and it has never let me down and is well maintained but I'm wondering if it's worth trading to a 1 year old bike with less than 6k under its wheels that I've seen.
I know that they are a lot of...
A friend of mine has managed to shear off the bolt that holds the Brake Hose Holder (Part 2 in the diagram). I've arrowed the bolt in question.
Does anyone know the size/pitch of this bolt?
Many thanks in advance
