I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

Looked the old wing over, everything works, but owner didn't know when timing belts were done, so I ordered a set. Can't be more difficult than to adjust the valves on the S10. Brand new front tire, rear has a thousand miles on it. Fired up nicely from his cold garage, settled into a nice smooth...

I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

Turns out I got this '88 with 62k miles for $1350. Needs one front caliper rebuilt/replaced. The S10 might take a break this season. I'll look 300 years old but feel comfortable doing it. ..

    S10 Finally Discontinued?

This. It's a cruise missle. Massive, and brutally quick. I have its ancestor, the FJ1200, and even at 30 years old it makes my S10 feel like a Massey Ferguson.

I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

And it has to be said, were it not for the numb hands, there is no way in heck I would be looking to lower its rank.

I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

a TW200 is in the short list. There is also a semi local PC800 for $1200, and 42k miles on it. I know they're bulletproof. Also a couple of Naked GL1100s, a little farther away, for around the same prices. I only go out in the dirt with The Lovely Mrs. RogerRZ, so we take the ATV. She never...

I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

I paid $2200 USD for my mint FJ. I'm not looking for a Multistrada, and I could likely stretch the budget a thousand or so, but before I trade the S10 in, I want to give myself a cooling period, if you will.

I have an S10, FJ1200 and $2000. What to buy next?

So here's the deal. I have the above mentioned bikes. The 2013 S10 is fully equipped for touring, MCCruise and all. Very competent bike, but after a long day in the saddle, the tingle in my hands is almost unbearable. The FJ1200 is all ate up with motor, with zero vibrations. Not as good in the...

Might have to sell, tingling hands.

I make an effort to keep my grip tight, so that's probably not the cause.

Might have to sell, tingling hands.

True enough. I took a fall from ten feet high three years ago, and I've never been the same. To the Dr we go! And truth be told, I'd likely go with an ST1300 rather than a Wing...

Might have to sell, tingling hands.

As much as it pains me to even think about it, last year I did a 3300 mile tour, and my hands tingled for a week thereafter. I thought that it was due to it being a long trip and dismissed it as such. Yesterday, after a Fanta 300 mile trip, the same thing happened. Thank god for cruise control...

If you *had* to ride a different bike, what would you pick?

Depends on who's paying. If it's me, a newer FJR. Someone else, a brand new Goldwing or R1xxxRT.

I went for a drive with my truck yesterday, and this followed me home.

I see you've changed the front calipers. First thing I did after riding it was order a set and master cylinder on eBay. The whoa didn't match the go.

The Beowulf cans emit really nice music as well. Seller included a V&H header, stock cans, soft saddlebags, tank bag and cover too. You can tell that this bike has been loved from day one. The trend continues. I was also shopiping for a twin headlight FZR, a first or second gen VFR, or a cheap...

I went for a drive with my truck yesterday, and this followed me home.

$2300usd. Bought it from the brother in law of the original owner, who finally decided to part with it five years after inheriting it. It's a complete creampuff. Also goes like a scared cat. I couldn't afford a new one back then, and nowadays, a mint one is only a couple of thousand more than a...
