New adventure bike test, with S10 included

My boy had the 990R with a 21 inch front and he is one of the best riders I have ever ridden with, After 50,000 miles he was totally convinced that anything above a 500 lb bike that a 21 is not safe on the roads. They do not have enough tread on the pavement to stop in emergencies. I realize...

    90 Octane Ethanol Free Gasoline

I'm a constant user of 87 - 10% in my 2012 Tenere. In certain circumstances I do run some Premium in it. Like Gunslinger said above, "high heat environment and wot throttle " It need better fuel. I also usually just put in Premium non ethanol in the 2017 Tenere because it sits around a lot...

where did you TAKE your Tenere today?

I was out checking on an old Mx track that I used to race on. It's all grown up in weeds. Someone built a house right at the entrance to the lane to go into the track, I had to ride right in front of their house but I never got shot at so it worked out. This cemetery was down a dirt road off the...

    Cranks, no start, Code 19?

If you get that code 19 when trying to start it, Lube the ignition switch. Might want to blast it out with contact cleaner first then lube it.

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

That is extremely odd because turning the TPS counter clockwise lowers the numbers.

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

I don't see how it could throw a code when if checked through the dash it is still in spec. I've had mine like this for a lot of miles and no code.

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

I have ridden plenty of bikes with flashed ECU's just not Tenere's I'm sure getting your bikes flashed can fix a lot of problems if done correctly, I just have the hope and theory that these bikes should run correctly without spending money on them. I would put my money on that these bikes ran...

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

Thanks Patrick but in reality I'm probably one of the non smartest guys you know. I just don't know anything about anything unless it has to do with riding. [it keeps life simple that way] I did work at a Yamaha shop for 41 years and had access to smart guys working at Yamaha [The RTA'S]...

    Super Smooth Super Tenere

I mean the off\on throttle response and everything else to do with riding the bike. To me it is even smoother just cruising along at 60, 70 or any speed.
