    Triumph Tiger Rally Pro

I am happy for now, and what I am doing, but not sure I would say I gave up anything. Both are good for the weight class they are in, and are pretty similar in that they are in the middle of the "pack". Do everything well, but not great on any one thing. Here is a pic of mine in the wild to wet...

    Triumph Tiger Rally Pro

Congrats on your purchase. I bought a Rally Pro in May, and currently have 9K miles on it. You can read some of my impressions in this previous thread: https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/2020-triumph-900-rally-pro.28202/ At a little over 9K miles on it, I do have to say it has...

Electric vehicles, batteries, and myth busting

I have been watching all the stuff in California. They can not support what they have now, and what infrastructure they currently have is old and frail. A fair amount of electricity comes from out of state, so as other states require more, the availability will be less. I recall reading several...

It is still illegal to gut the exhaust system per the feds. The EPA has been going after the companies doing it, ask the "diesel brothers" from that show, they got their we-we wacked by the feds. Funny enough, it is still okay to do it in Canada apparently. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

The 6.0 was one of the worst, and Ford ignored the problem. I am surprised you made it with that many miles. It's a great motor if you bullet proof it, dumping $5-6K for that, but even that is no guarantee. Buddy of mine put close to $10K into his before giving up. Sent from my Pixel 3 using...

It's time for an update Yamaha.

Couple of others will jump in, but it has a governor to limit it to 125 mph, and I believe a slightly different electrical system. Different switches to accommodate for the siren/lights switches. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Have one, and they are great pullers, but what the heck with the defueling on shifts. The Aisin is basically a Allison, and is suppose to be able to handle all the torque. Yes, my first RAM, and frustrating without doing mods to correct. Maybe if I put one of those big "C" stickers in the rear...

It's time for an update Yamaha.

I just looked online. Lots of new 2017 LE models for sale. Like Honda threw out whatever they had left in the warehouse.

It's time for an update Yamaha.

There is a lot of tech Yamaha can take off the FJR, and put on the Tenere, for not a lot of development cost. Proven tech with several years in service. I have owned several Honda ST1300's, loved them, and if Honda ever came back out with them, same basic bike, but updated, there would be one...

KTM 790 Adventure R - not gonna happen

I always used "T" on dirt, or in rain, "S" on street. On washboard roads, rocks, I was always jerky on the throttle also. In the "T" mode for me, smooth, no problem.

Random Rant Thread (no moto content)

Last house I had, we had up to 10 barn cats at a time to keep the varmint population under control. We never had more than that, the coyote's and owls would help with that, sometimes getting the numbers down to 2.

    New Zumo XT

Interesting, never have seen the RAM locking nuts, but at $26 each, and needing two, just more than I want to spend. Takes 15 seconds to take off, and put into the locking top box, which cost almost as much as just the Touratech mount. I haven't had any vibration problems with the stock Garmin...

    New Zumo XT

Guess my question is how is it mounted to the bike. Does it use a RAM mount, which is not secure, or does it have something similar to the RAM that is bolted to the bike.

2020 Triumph Tiger 900 GT PRO - Initial impressions (65km combined City/Highway ride)

Haven't ridden the GT, but own a Rally Pro. Same engine, and I believe TFT. Rally Pro has the longer suspension, different rake, and 21" front. Difference between the two, was described to me as the GT was the sport tourer, the Rally, the adventure bike.

Weapons - What you have (NOT a political discussion)

If you look at the section I pointed out, you are correct, if the gun was on the list per the section you quoted, prior to 2006, not after. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

Weapons - What you have (NOT a political discussion)

California is the only state that requires handguns to have both a chamber load indicator and a magazine safety disconnect. California Code, Penal Code - PEN § 31910 The gun has to be on the list prior to 2006, the microstamping, prior to 2010 to avoid the law. Sent from my Pixel 3 using...

Hoarding how do you help someone who does this?

Here, as far as mental help, unless he can not take care of himself, there is not much one can do. Even a friend bringing proper help can be refused. On the property, it would be up to the local county/city, and what codes (property/fire) are being violated. If it is not unsightly, it is not...
