Improving Motorbike Skills: Training Tips Needed

Go to the MSF website msf-org.com They have some resources and also run some Advanced Rider classes. Although historically the availability is limited. They partner with a lot of States to get new riders trained and unfortunately that usually eats up the majority of their resources.

Looking to ride from san francisco bay area to las vegas in december. Questions

This is why my initial thoughts went to Tahachapi pass right away. Seems that the Donner party had some snow/ice issues on that northern route in the early season. :)

Looking to ride from san francisco bay area to las vegas in december. Questions

Tehachapi was the first thing to come to mind for me as well. Lived in Vegas and traveled to Sacramento and the Central valley often for work. If the weather cooperates the best route on a bike would be over I80 and then down the Eastern side of the Sierras on 395. That's going to be longer...

    FJR1300 2010 Black FS

Had mine in for a clutch repair. When I picked it up the owner and mechanic said he was really surprised by the fun factor of the bike.

New to Super Tenere, have a couple questions.

Dealer network and Yamaha reliability were big for me. Also there is a pretty solid aftermarket farkle presence.

    PSA on Maintenance item

After a recent trip I began having some clutch related issues. In hindsight I'm probably really lucky the issues didn't come up during the extended ride. So I start digging into the situation and note that in the extensive documentation from previous owners there is no mention of clutch or...

    Don't neglect your PSA test

Good reminder. Ironically I had reached out to my Dr. yesterday to see if I was eligible for my annual PSA blood test yet. Yes, as of 7-1-24 so I'll be swinging by today to pick up the order and go get the blood test. Been wanting to test the cholesterol as well as she has had me on a...

    GSA or ST?

I've had both as well. Don't think you can go wrong either way. S10 does have a better dealership network which is what put me on a S10. But to answer your overall question, YES you are mental. (all of us here are) :)

2014 Super Tenere for Sale. **Sold**

I think too many go the other direction. Have an item listed a little too high and then get fixated on that number. I'm probably guilty of it with large ticket item I have for sale right now myself. I justify it by saying that I don't really care if it sells right away, and I don't. But our...

    Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

I made a stop in there to look at new helmets during my tour of your fine state. It was not at all what I expected, which was a big multiline dealership type operation. Instead it's a very small and limited retail shop that is heavily focused on dirt riding. Mostly oil, lube etc. I was the...

First few adventures with my 2012 ST

In both states, especially if you get off the major roads there are significant twisties. A lot of "tunnels through the trees" and other really nice scenery. I'm reluctant to camp any more (like the convenience of a shower, bed and AC) so I just went the "cheap" hotel route.
