What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Fitted a new Yausa 14 battery along with a heavy duty charging tail to replace the Optimate one that I put on when I got the bike. The new tail will allow me to connect straight to my Antigravity XP1 and start the bike from flat. The Optimate tail is not up to starting and will melt if you put a...

    Dyns Jeans

I recently bought a pair of Rokker jeans and am very impressed with them. They out perform leather on the Cambridge abrasion test and are fitted with D30 Ghost armour that you don’t even notice. I originally bought a pair of Rokker boots and was so impressed by them that I tried their jeans...

For Sale Enduristan Monsoon Evo Pannier Set

I very nearly bought a set of these. Really good quality. I went for Mosko Motos in the end just because they were cheaper. However I didn’t reckon on the Brexit import charges that I was hit with when they got here which in the end made them more expensive!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally a long oval dual sport helmet!

I popped over to Motolegends and picked up a Shoei Neotech 3. They offer the Shoei Personal Fitting Service there which uses a machine to map the dimensions of you head and then tells them where to place the padding shims to get a perfect fit. First time I’ve had that and it’s hugely improved...

    What’s happening in 2025?

I’m not going to risk any trips abroad this year the old ticker is playing up. But I’m doing a Rapid UK course, the ADV festival, Nick Sanders Festival and a Dyno day in the UK so far and I’ll find other stuff to keep me busy. Getting close to retirement again now so I’ve got to change my...

    Battery options

That’s a good find! I often forget about sports bike direct but they do have some good deals. I’m a bit suspicious of eBay as there are loads of fakes about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery options

Looks like Halfords are doing the 14 for £105. Not sure what make the OEM one is but it’s lasted 8 years so far. I’ve just bought one for my ZX14R £76 for a Yausa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Battery options

In the past I’ve read posts about the best batteries for the S10 but I can’t find where they were now. I’m looking to replace mine and I seem to remember there is an upgraded version available. I like to use Yausa batteries so I’m looking for a Yausa AGM type. Does anyone know the type / model I...

    Heated grips.

I’ve just fitted new Oxford Hot Grips Pro heated grips to my ZX14R as the old Dr Bike grips were worn out. The Hot grips pro have the control button built into the left grip which means you don’t need to clutter up your bars etc. I’m very impressed with the way they work, you just press and hold...

    New SoCal Member

Likewise. 50 years of riding on road then decided to take an off road course last year. On day 2 I fell off and broke left leg, 3 ribs and collar bone. I’ll stay on road now…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear Brake losing pressure

I’ve not had to use them myself Rob, but a few members of the ZX14R forum have used them very successfully. And this was the first gen 2 Zx14r that we know of that’s had a failure. And considering mine is one of the first gen 2 models I’m half expecting mine to go at some point. Sent from my...

That supercharger service ain’t cheap and in standard form they ain’t as quick as a ZX14r. But, when flashed they can put out some ridiculous power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Yamaha Super Tenere and FJR1300 have disappeared from the Yamaha USA website.

ABS unit repairs in the UK

You can have them repaired if it is the ABS pump and not the master cylinder. The biggest issue is no-one bothers to change the rear brake fluid and then not use the back brake. https://controlunits.com/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SORRY LADS i,ve gone to the darkside

Two bikes is the minimum a man should have really. Never like BMWs my self but if it raises the number of bikes you have to the minimum it’s OK by me[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Went to replace both headlamp bulbs and realised that one of the side light bulbs has gone too. Replacing the headlight bulbs is straightforward but the side light bulbs require just about the whole of the front of the bike to be removed!! And when I ordered new bulbs from fowlers it turns out...

    Brake pads

I use SBS pads made in Denmark. I find they are better than OEM and give a better feel in the levers. I don’t use EBC because they have wrecked my disks in no time at all and because under braking they expand and you have to release pressure on the lever and then reapply. Not ideal half way...
