Started and rode mine for the first time this year. Temp was above 50 for the first time and even though the roads were wet from melting snow and still covered in sand it felt great to ride again. Rolled over 30,000 miles while I was out. No where near the 66,000 on my vstar 1300 but I’ll get...
I saw two this week which is crazy. One on rt 32 heading south to Massachusetts in Richmond NH and another on 119 heading west near the intersection of rt 10 and 78 in Winchester NH.
Saw a matte gray super tenere on rt 30 at the intersection of rt73 in VT yesterday. Looked like they were heading toward Brandon VT. Rider had a passenger. First time I’ve seen one on the road all year.
Saw a matte gray S10 on Rt30 heading south today. I think it was turning in to rt73 east toward Brandon. Rider had a passenger with him. Anyone in the forum?
I’ve thought for a while now about how great an upgrade they could make to the S10 and the FJR if they had EURO5 engines to build on. Yamaha has the tech to compete with the rest of the market, just look at the Tracer 9GT+. There aren’t many shaft drive adventure bikes out there. You have the...
May have been. The bike I saw in Winchester was probably 4-5 years ago and I’m pretty sure it was matte grey. I saw the bike/rider at the town hall parking lot and stopped to ask how he liked it since I was thinking of buying one. Year or so later I found my 2018.
I saw one on rt100 in VT a few years back and one on rt2 near Charlemont MA a while ago. Also saw one near Winchester NH with a Massachusetts plate. Other than that I can’t think of any.
First day over 50 up here so took a half day and put 111 miles on. Still kind of chilly riding through areas that have snow banks and I need to rinse the salt off now but it was great to be on it again.
They are also getting so expensive and advanced. The simplicity is gone which takes away some of the joys of riding imho. Also these new bikes are so expensive now. No wonder younger people aren’t getting into riding. It costs too much.
