    All good now with new stay mounted, stay was cracked on top and bottom at mounting bracket due to vibrations over year on gravel roads.

    Ktm 690r is absolutely an enjoyable bike, enormous power and moment for single piston engine. Not any special year to avoid, but 2009-2010 have longer travel on suspension. Mine is 2009 i also use it in winter on snowy and icy roads not salted.
