Ecu is located behind the relays near the battery. You have to unclip the relays from their mount and remove the panel that holds them.

You changed the oil. It's a Gen 1 bike. Did you hear any unusual metal clanking whist cranking the engine? CCT problem???

Could be a simple electric plug not connected when reassembling air box and tank.

Greetings from Malta (EU) and welcome to the forum. As for maintenance and reliability, I suppose it very much depends on how the previous owner/s treated the S10. My Gen 1 (2013) has never given me any trouble. I bought it new and carry out all service myself.
