Tipping. It’s getting out of hand.

I tip at least 25% worldwide regardless of how good of service I get. At Starbucks and fast food I give 50% tip. Those who give less than 20% are just cheap bastards. At supermarkets I give a 20 spot to the kid who bags my groceries. At gas stations I give 5-10 bucks to the attendant to...

Cat removal on my '17 ST " how to"

Boy that fab job you did sure does bring back memories!! Not my cup of tea as far as modifications go. But you did a fantastic write up and how to. FWIW, I used to run a really nice Miller combo TIG/SMAW/MIG machine in my younger days. Nowadays I have just a good old Harbor Freight SMAW inverter...

    Wunderlich Super Tenere Products

I'm not sure what years but it also fits the BMW R80 G/S, R100 R and R100 GS. Keep in mind you will have to modify the linkage slightly (heim joint) and get the proper size bushing where it bolts to the shaft.

    LS2 Vortex Modular Carbon Helmet

That's a smart idea wearing it at home to check fit. It gives a lot more options for helmet choice. If I try on helmets and if they don't fit perfect right away they go back on the shelf. Needless to say it leaves me with very few choices....

Raised dog bones easy install and way to get ground clearance

Yep, did I explain the install right? No need to loosen or remove exhaust.

Raised dog bones easy install and way to get ground clearance

That was one of the main reasons for me to get this. You might find something on ebay. I just did not want to chance it. Lust Racing is a reputable company. It is very reliable through Pay Pal. Just be sure to choose NON-EU postage option. Mine came very quick. What do you know?!! You can get...

    Wunderlich Super Tenere Products

Don't I know it!! I should have gave my OEM shifter a chance. The Wunderlich bent like a pretzel and cracked when I tried to bend it back. The aluminum is of a very poor quality. For someone who never drops their bike the shifter is fantastic. It was designed with a roller tip that runs on...

Raised dog bones easy install and way to get ground clearance

Simply slide out the inner race from the right side of linkage. This gives the bolt enough "wiggle room" to come out. As stated by rstrom just be careful not to damage the inner bearing cage. These are the inner races. They pull right out with a finger.

Raised dog bones easy install and way to get ground clearance

I might also comment on the sag numbers. The shorter links do stiffen up the "effective rate" of the spring slightly. I'm 200-210 in street clothes and 220-330 in gear. Fully geared up with all my tools, 3 liters of water, full tank of fuel, and empty panniers mounted. Stock suspension...

Raised dog bones easy install and way to get ground clearance

This is the spot on way to install the links. Thanks again rstrom!! Reason for me doing this is to give me some time to get some miles on my bike (before suspension re spring/service and still have the needed ground clearance. I opted for a set of the shorter links. They raised the bike 20mm...

Data help about TFX shock (not solved at all)

Boy Jeff ain't that the truth!! I have been really lucky with my suspension tuners. Both of my "go to" guys ride the same kind of stuff I do. So everything works right after it's bolted on with very little clicker adjustments needed. With the Super Tenere I'm thinking it's going to be a...

    Wunderlich Super Tenere Products

Wunderlich makes a bunch of high end products for the Super Tenere. From shifters, levers, brackets, suspension components, etc. The stuff is super expensive.

Data help about TFX shock (not solved at all)

Hi there Ord, I personally would not overthink this too much. Just install the shock and ride it. Standard sag numbers are only a baseline and can vary a whole bunch from rider to rider. I normally set my clickers to the middle and adjust from there. If you are not familiar with suspension...

My Re-Spring of the S10 ES Shock

Oh yes!! I'm quite aware of how different the two suspension setups are. I actually had my bike over to RT and the service tech suggested that I drop off the whole bike when I'm ready to have the suspension serviced. What's cool about RT is they have a full service shop including lath, milling...

My Re-Spring of the S10 ES Shock

Glad this spring swap is working out for you. After reading through all these spring change threads I have decided to hold off and take my bike in and have the springs done along with a revalve.

    Radiator intake protection

Weird stuff breaks when going off road. If I was to use this bike regularly in the dirt then it would have Evans waterless coolant.

Added Green LED's as Extra Turn Indicators

Another option is to get the GPS bracket extender. I really like your idea better though. Much brighter than the stock ones. The biggest reason I got the extender was so I could read my speedo without having to tilt up the GPS. The GPS is now right in my line of site to the road ahead. No no...

    Es or Non-Es

Quite possible for sure! When I was shopping for mine I already budgeted in suspension upgrades. So far mine looks like it will make it to service time before needing respring and revalve.
