I went to my dealer 2 weeks ago. They told me the had ordered the part. When I get there they tell me they can't find the part. Wasted an hour there. It only took a 6 weeks to get the part in.

I have the same stickers on my S10.

Same here. It's just 4 bolts and removing it makes it easier and not spill on the plate. This also gives me a chance to remove some rocks that may have been stuck there. I remove both oil drain plugs.

Good write up. I need to to this to mine. One thing I have done to previous bikes is fill it with water, run the bike with just the water and let it get up to temp. This way any remaining coolant in the system is circulated with the water. Drain again and you will see that some coolant still...
