Welcome, from Texas. I used to live in Richland back in my high school days. There are A LOT of former, and current, FJ/FJR riders here. And more than a few that have both.

Paul, the only thing you did wrong was sell the FJR, a man needs both I tell ya. 2014 or newer gives you cruise and a few other things.
My Ten does pretty much everything my FJR does, but the sound the FJR makes when pulling hard out of a corner is hard to replace.
Hope to see you at the B/D party.

I don't think he sold, or even had an FJR. He just noticed "a bunch of the old farts" (read older & wiser) jumping ship to the Tenere. And . . . . what is a B/D party? My mind went straight to the gutter.

Welcome Paul, glad you found the place!

And Sierra, he did have an FJR a few bikes ago. He sampled orange kool-aid but it had a bitter aftertaste when the cover was lifted!

Yes, I had an 03 FJR. Here it is next to G's first S-10 from a 2017 ride. Panman was also along for the ride. I do kind of miss it, but I agree with Panman that a replacement would have to be way newer.

Greetings from Canada. Spent the day in Seattle on route to the Gorge for Dave Matthews Band. One of the best times. Ride safe

Congrats Paul, the '14 looks like a nice low-mile find. Panman and I will be more than happy to help add goodies...your kids don't need shoes! ;)

I've already dumped over $1000 into odds and ends, oops! Today's surprise was finding that the tool kit in the electrical area was missing. Any idea on when 20 opens?

Paul, I ran mine that way for a couple of years. I always thought something was not right as my light's jiggled at nigh a bit more than I thought they should. I looked around and didn't see anything wrong. One day I'm out with a friend and rode between Lk Cavanaugh and Oso then out to Darrington then taking the Mountain Loop to Granite Falls. About half way to GF the nose flopped forward and I'm grabbing it and trying to stop all in the gravel! I'm kinda leaning towards the idea that it held together for the AK trip and broke later that summer. My younger friend George might remember?
It's not to bad to replace just nuts and bolts, pay attention to how the wire's are ran, I had to back track a little to put it in it's correct place once.
Must be a used bike thing as my 14's tools were missing also.
