Great photo. I exchanged a few emails with Harrison last spring/summer. Otherwise, haven't had contact with any of the others in quite a while. Great guys, great times.

Are you sure you're older than Snake?

A woman takes her lover home during the day while her husband is at work.

Her 9 year old son comes home unexpectedly,
sees them, and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch.

Just after getting into bed,the woman's husband also comes home unexpectedly. She tells her lover to hide in the cupboard,
not realizing that her little boy is in there.

After a little while the little boy says, "Dark in here."

The man, who obviously got a real fright not expecting to hear anything,
let alone from a little boy, replies, "Yes, it is."

Boy : "I have a football."
Man : "That's nice."

Boy : "Want to buy it?"
Man : "No thanks."

Boy : "My dad's outside."
Man : "Okay, how much?"
Boy : "£250."

In the next few weeks,
it happens again that the boy and the lover are in the cupboard together.

Boy : "Dark in here."
Man : "Yes, it is."
Boy : "I have football boots."

The lover, remembering the last time,
asks the boy, "Okay, how much this time?"

Boy : "£750."
Man : "Sold."

A few days later, the boy's father says to the boy, "Grab your boots and football.Let's go outside and have a game of football."

The boy says, "I can't, I sold my football and boots."
The father asks, "How much did you sell them for and to whom?"
The boy replies, "To a friend of mine for a £1,000."

The father says, "That's a terrible thing to do, overcharging your friend like that. That's four times what they cost when they were new.
I'm going to take you to church and make you confess your terrible sin."

They go to church and the father makes the
little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door.

The boy says, "Dark in here."

The priest says,

"Don't start that shit again you little brat, you're in my cupboard now!!!"

Every fall when the bike goes to sleep I start looking at maps pretty seriously. Done with riding in the snow, salt, and maniacs. For me, a good ride is getting far away from congestion or even company to get that centered rider’s peace of mind that distance and new scenery never fail to provide.

Tonight I’m using google maps to speculate and plan for next year. When doing this I’m nudged a bit, just as I am every year to move far away and experience new roads, views, people, food, and climate. Having to ride for days for warmer weather only tells me I’m doing something wrong.
My wife is happily amenable to these things and we’re looking. In the meanwhile I'll look forward to ride reports by those not heavily influenced by the weather.

No disrespect to our neighbors to the north but meanwhile in Canada..,

A man walked into the produce section of his local supermarket and asked to buy half a head of lettuce. The boy working in that department told him that they only sold whole heads of lettuce. The man was insistent that the boy ask his manager about the matter.

Walking into the back room, the boy said to his manager, “Some a#@hole wants to buy a half a head of lettuce.” As he finished his sentence, he turned to find the man standing right behind him, so he added, “and this gentleman kindly offered to buy the other half.” The manager approved the deal and the man went on his way.

Later the manager found the boy and said “I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of that situation earlier. We like people who think on their feet here. Where are you from, son?”

“Canada, sir,” the boy replied.

“Well, why did you leave Canada?” the manager asked.

The boy said, “Sir, there’s nothing but whores and hockey players up there.”

“Really!” said the manager. “My wife is from Canada!”

The boy replied, “No shit??? Who did she play for?”

Plenty of that between California, and Arkansas, south of I-40. Although not impossible to have snow, and salt, it is greatly reduced. Lots of year round riding temps. Of course, "rear round riding temps" are very subjective. I'm betting that if you ride out there, you'd find somewhere you like for a permanent local. Or, do like holligl, and "dual home" it.

Kona and the low areas will be in the mid 60s to low 70s.

Mauna Kea literally means White Mountain due to occasional snow and yes, both Mauna Kea and adjacent Mauna Loa are over 13,500 ft. They were into the 30s a month ago at night while Kona was in the 70s.
