A weapon I carry in my bikes tool kit. I always just thought of it as a tool.

Exactly the same here. Maximum of 28cm unfolded and only sharpened on 1 side. No springloaded etc etc. The Buck 112 I carry daily is about it…
Which reminds me. . . . 2-3 years ago, Texas removed all blade restrictions. It used to be 5.5" max, and single edged. Now. . . . anything goes . . . . you can legally carry a broadsword. Doesn't make sense to me. I've always carried a folder (one of Gibbs rules). But, just a 3"-ish blade, same reason as Mak; just a tool.

Back when I was working, S.M.K.W. was selling a folder called the Colt Big Easy. 1634331356976.png Looked normal, and was only $19.99. So, when it arrived, I was quite surprised to find that it was almost a pound in weight, and a 6" blade. But, it was thin, and fit perfect inside my motor boot. Very sharp, and held the edge.

Have the exact same one on my belt right now and have used it a couple of times already this morning. (9:49am)
I always wanted to rewrite the lyrics to Pearl Jam's "Betterman" to "Leatherman" I have been carrying one throughout my entire AV career (28 years now), and along with a good flashlight and my test monitor, are the three most essential tools I own, and would be the first ones replaced. I also currently have the Wave, though I've been eyeing the Signal lately.

Made by the Nagoya Arsenal factory in Kokubunji, a suburb of Toyko. They only made 73000 of these from 1939 to 1945.

The safety says in Japanese Ka or fire and An which means peaceful...

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
New Frontier Armory 9mm glock mag lower. NFA side charging upper. Found this cool forend that mimics a MP5SD. Think I'm going to buy the slightly shorter version of it to make the package smaller when the suppressor is removed. Got my SBR paperwork back in 7 days. Griffin Rev 9 suppressor.

Still figuring out what sight is going to live on it.

I'm confused. By the time you're done, it's going to be pistol length. What is the advantage of this over just getting a pistol that doesn't need any paperwork? Of course my kid tells me I'm too old school, because I don't want to shorten my AR-5.56. He wants an SBR real bad, and I don't see the advantage to that either. Pistol for pistol work, and rifle for rifle work.

Its 9mm "no" ballistic advantage to 16". And in my case its going to be shot suppressed 100% of the time. So shorter barrel actually gives me an advantage in keeping rounds subsonic.

The reason of SBR over braced pistol is/was the threat of ATF rule changes. I honestly don't think that is going to happen but staying ahead of the game. It's $200 so no big deal. I remember in 2016 when they did the rule change on Trust Filing for NFA. 4 month wait times jumped to 2.5 year wait times to get in under the wire. So if they mandate braces are SBR's, there is going to be a rush of filings. Probably jump the wait time to 4 years!

I do have one AR15 SBR, but primarily so I can just take one lower on range trips without having to worry what uppers I am taking. Other than that I only do weird like AK's and such that you can't brace.

The shooting club I am a member of now and then purchases new guns for the members to shoot. They got this Colt M4 .22LR carbine this week, standard sights. Put 75 rounds through it, shoots really well. Definitely needs a lighter trigger. Nice group at 25m on a 1,5” bullseye.

My son is shooting .22LR in matches at 200 yds and to me the rifle weighs a ton. There's no recoil to speak of.
