What is a high mileage for a Super Tenere?

If I added up the mileage of every vehicle I've ever owned I wouldn't get close to that!:D
Bikes. . . . not even half that. If I throw in everything. . . . I'm probably there, or ay least close. Texas is over 800 miles across from side to side, and top to bottom, just by itself.

Yeah, but I think NZ may be prettier in general. There's a lot of west Texas that's ugly as hell.

Cycledude, that mileage on a bike is incredible. Have you had that bike from new?
yes I bought it brandnew in the fall of 2002, had a previous 2001 with 50,000 miles that I hit a deer with, less than $2,000 in damage but they offered an excellent trade in deal so I decided To take it.
I have replaced-fixed lots of stuff on it but the engine is 100% original and other than using some oil it still runs like new.

Ваш пробег впечатляет)) Хоть Россия огромна, с таким пробегом наша техника просто развалится. Мотоциклы с пробегом более 50 тысяч км больше не покупаем. Потому что у нас очень плохие дороги и техника не выдерживает

I have had a couple front fork seal issues.

Seal mates do work

SKF seals are better then stock in my experience+

fork condoms are good in high speed dirt

bulbs seem to burn out withing 300 miles of each other.

Not including manual CCT thats it at 48000 miles.
Just stumbled across this again. 23,000 more miles. Finally replaced battery. At 60,000 miles the exhaust valves were tight and needed adjustment.

SKF seals are great still. About 4,000 miles of dirt this year and still no issues.

Finally broke an OEM pannier catching a t post. Bought my long wanted Holan panniers direct from Poland for less then a grand.

I started thinking about the clutch basket, and now I think I'm going to upgrade to a gen 2 instead. Did a bun burner 1500 in June and finally had a time I wanted some cruise control.

Seen some '14 sell for about $8k or less with luggage under 25,000 miles.

Sell the luggage, put my holans, ACD skid plate (can aluminum be powder coated well?) on new bike. Think I can upgrade for less then $3000 and shave off 40,000 miles.

I have a '95 4x4 and '08 2wd Tacoma. together they have 430,000 miles

95 Tacoma has new rear springs, clutch and replaced all the front suspension parts this year.

'08 had a water pump, and rear springs. Frame was recalled and replaced, but I think the dealer was scamming Toyota. Didn't cost me a dime

The 2.7L is one of the best motors ever built for sure.
Plus '01 f450, 2015 tundra, 92 f250, 97 f250, 83 cj 7, 73 cj5, and new to us 2015 crv.

pushing a million miles on the cars/trucks

I'm at 85,000 now on my 2014; that's 20,000 more than the last time I posted on this thread 21 months ago. I just took it in to have the valves checked for the third time. The clearances haven't changed since I last had it done at 55,000 miles back in March 2019.

I had the shop put in a new cam chain tensioner while they did the valves. There wasn't anything wrong with my old one, but I figured 85,000 was a good time to change it out as a preventative maintenance thing. Plus, the second gen CCT has now been superseded by one with a new part number, so I had that one installed.

So far, the only parts on the bike that have failed have been a few headlight bulbs and a wheel bearing.

Bulbs don't count. And, bearings almost don't count . . . . depending on mileage of course.
