Hey all! My name is Joe out of AZ, motorcycle enthusiast who doesn't ride enough! I've had a Tenere on my list for awhile as I am big with yamaha and kawasaki. Just picked up a 60th anniversary edition in immaculate shape with 6,500 miles, very amazed with this machine on dirt and pavement. Was considering some rides including the TAT in the future. Also nearing completion of my garage with all the tools I have amassed, I restore bikes in my free time, some of these include 1997 kx500, 87 yz490, xt600, klx650r, and my other rides include yz250s, a zx1100 ninja and a YZF R1 to name a few, I'm sure I'll see some of you on the trails in the future! Cheers and happy riding20210819_174643.jpg20210819_174643.jpg

Welcome from Texas. Used to live in Page. Is that a picture on the North Rim road?

Sweet!

mostly complete 74 DT 360. I need to finish and debug the electricals (6v system that spikes 14v)

Beautiful - I had a 71 RT1 360 (black tank/red stripe) that I enjoyed until it was stolen in 72. These were fun bikes for their time. I didn't get another bike until I hit 70 back in 2017, and now enjoy my 2013 Super Tenere (matte gray). The Old Gray Mare is a LOT heavier than my previous Yamaha and even twice the weight of the 66 Triumph T100SC 500 twin I had in 1967. Call me crazy, but I miss the kick starters I used to ride.

The 14v you speak of on charging side?
yes. Tends to blow lights when it happens....common problem for the first EC models. I have a whole new wiring harness to put in then I will try adding a regulator to the system

I am just finishing up my garage also. Had a two car garage with 3 cars and 3 motorcycles in it.....space was a bit tight *L*
