The health care workers and first responders have been thru both shots here. It will open up to 65 and under next week here. Right now the 75+ are getting their 2nd shots. I haven't read of too many complaints with registration on-line so far (granted, its' easier in a state of less than 700.000 people). They are estimating that by the end of summer everyone (who wants it) will be vaccinated.
New York is a whole 'nother story. My parents (in their 80's) have gotten the first shot so far. Sites giving the vaccine are kinda random, depending where you live.

Can’t wait to get my vaccine passport. Got plans to travel this year and I don’t want to be doing it with people spluttering Rona all over me

I rode around by the local Saturday afternoon gathering spots here. You can drink outside in public around here. People packed together not a mask in sight. SMFH

There is a reason why the US has more Covid related deaths than any other country in the world.
In a situation like this a combination of stupidity, ignorance and personal freedom kills.

Currently COVID cases in the USA are waaaay down and continually dropping
Yes, and I don't know about y'alls media, but ours has almost completely stopped talking about covid. Confirming that bad news sells. They report on vaccinations, but mainly the places that are doing it wrong.

I have to agree with you Don. Unfortunately the motorcycle community are some the worst offenders. Lots of forums and YouTube videos of riders bragging on huge group rides and camping with no masks. I'm considering quitting my dual sport club because of this. My friend and president stepped down and quit the club because of being voted against keeping the rides to a limited amount of riders. It's now a free for all with no limits.

The racing community is doing a good job at the distancing. At least here in California. All my racing buddies are telling me it is very structured and most of the guys are following the rules. Of course there are always a few that won't.

Here is an example of the idiocy of the bar owners allowing riders to get sloshed and spread COVID. Bars a supposed to be closed. This one was open with a few hundred boneheads. No masks or social distancing.

They were probably all carrying guns though, for their protection.....

Many of us stupid ignorant Americans will accept the risk as a condition of being a free people; liberty comes at a price. Those who are merely subjects, bound to obey the whims of their ruling class, just don't seem to grasp that concept. ;)

I just received a survey from my health care provider yesterday and was put in the queue for my shot. My doctors office will notify me when the vaccine is ready. Because of my honesty it might be a while though. Homeless, alcoholics, drug addicts, and smokers are at a greater risk than me so they will get the vaccination first.

I can live with that. My wife and I are much happier getting our vaccine in the doctors office. Neither of us are thrilled with fighting through the protesters spitting and throwing rocks at us when we try to enter the super sites.

Ok. . . . so the Texas Governor proclaimed 100% open, and no masks mandated. . . . effective 10MAR21. Texas has been using the hospitalization rate to determine the open/closure rate of business. Over 15% for seven days = 50% restaurant occupancy, and closed bars. Under 15% for seven days = 100% open. Weeks ago, the media reported that the hospitalization rate was just over 15%. Since then the media has been reporting a drastic decrease in new cases, and deaths, since the vaccine was deployed, but no mention of the hospitalization rate. Just last night, the media reported that the hospitalization rate had been below 15% for well over the seven day requirement. But, no statement from the Governor to re-open. Today, on the Texas birthday, he makes his proclamation. . . . for next week.

I'm good with the business opening, but, no masks. . . . seems way premature. Considering that only the 65+, and underlying condition persons have been vaccinated. We're still alo-o-o-ong way from being over covid. Once again, it seems that the proclamation is politically motivated more than scientifically.

Personally. . . . still gonna wear a face covering. Probably until the majority of the population has been vaccinated. By that time. . . . it'll be time to get vaccinated again.

EDIT: Media reported that the current hospitalization rate is 8%. . . . why has that been concealed?

Same here, the face mask isn’t going in the trash yet. I think we will have a few months later this year between when most people have been vaccinated and the second round starts again. At least by then all our pharmacies will be jabbing....

Went and bought a new jacket for my wife today. Idiots - walking around masks down, shouting to their mates across the store - I said to a few that came close, "I'm protecting you, would you mind protecting me please". Staff were just as slack. Of course I'm the nasty foreigner/immigrant.

EDIT now, just as I posted: Ludy (wife) "Thank you for the lovely new jacket. Tomorrow, If you wake up and find the bike is gone, you can only blame yourself..." :D
