Posting for a friend. 2327 mi , lots of extras, he just got this- it’s brand new.
Yeah but it’s not as good as the S10, right? The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is a truly great bike with the best motor that I have ever owned.
You misunderstand me. I love twins and my S10 is smoother than my Kawasaki was, but the power delivery, flexibility and perhaps the character of my old Versys 1000 is, for me at least, better than my S10. Since I started riding motorcycles 55 years ago, I have only owned 6 multi-cylinder bikes, all the others have been singles and twins, but the Versys 1000 is about the only multi I still lust after and could maybe take me away from my S10. However, having said all that, I do agree with you that the more I ride my S10, the more I enjoy it.I've never ridden the Kawi, but, I am sure it's much smoother. . . . it's an inline four. Seamless power. Just like every other inline four, regardless of make. I'm criticizing. "Better" is going to be a personal taste thing. The more I ride my Tenere, the more I like the sounds, and feel of the big twin. But, I have been known to be a little off.
I just saw that my post said that I was criticizing. It was supposed to say I was NOT. I understood what you were saying, and you're correct. It's just the nature of the beast. . . . I-4 v. twin. You misunderstand me. . . .
No problem Sierra, I wasn’t taking offence but thanks for clarifying and I agree it is a 4 cylinder vs twinI just saw that my post said that I was criticizing. It was supposed to say I was NOT.
