Hi all. I just picked up a 2012 Super Ten to replace my 1981 Seca 750. I've noticed Yamaha has made one or two refinements in the intervening decades. I approve of them all. Haven't had a chance or the weather to get out much yet (Vermont winter hasn't quite released its grip yet) but can't wait. The couple of hours I have spend on it have been the happiest of my life, at least in the last eight weeks.

Welcome from the Lone Star State. Another Seca rider. (mine was only a 550, but my best friend had the maroon 750) Are you still riding it? And, if so how many miles does it have. They were pretty damn fast for their time. . . . and it had a shaft.

Welcome from Kansas. I also had an 81 Seca 750 black. Sold it for my fz1 still have that. Sometimes wish I had kept the Seca. Yamaha makes some really great bikes. Been happy with all of them. Lots of trouble free miles

It's still in my garage and it still runs. But the speedo cable stopped spinning at around 22K miles and that was two years ago. It's crazy fast for its vintage and stops way slower than it accelerates, which is fun but also scary. I think I'm going to put it up for sale soon. I don't see myself riding it much now.
